Ok Party Finder? Good luck trying to get in your not even close to full ilvl90. Everyone better get use to that if your not full ilvl90 you better hurry up cause that's going to be the new standard come 2.2. Just like AK/WP use to be Relic+1 only. But you can always make your own party so you should be ok.

I didn't make the thread to me like "Oh raise ilvl requirement so we can just faceroll it" no! Nukocafe said it the best...

Let's put this in perspective:

Reasons why Ilvl is NOT ok:

• Seasoned playes will not deal with undergeared players & kick them out of the dungeons or ragequit forcin the party to fall apart
• Fresh 50 players will not actually be able to complete the content because of the above & therefore wasting everyone's and their own time
• Assuming that since the ilvl is so low, the drop rewards will be low and just like with Pharos, nobody will want to do the dungeon & drop out immediately upon encountering it in the roulette
• The dungeon in general will become a breeding ground for harrassment and everyone will generally have a bad time

If the Lost City Turns out to be like Pharos Sirius no one is going to run the dungeon, That is unless the new Tomestones drop here. Then players will be forced to do this dungeon and guess what when players are forced to do something they don't want to do it turns into what Nukocafe said. Everyone will want to Speed Run the dungeon and in doing so if you don't have certain gear people will complain, I've seen tanks do it in places "Oh you don't have full DarkLight leave". It's going to be AK/WP/Praet all over again.

We don't even have confirmation if Lost City will drop the New Tomes. But if it does we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

That's where the balance comes in though. Say SE only allowed I75 into AK. For bad players that would still be a challenge. Good players it would be faceroll easy. So at I55 it would at least give the skilled players a challenge and the poor players something to work up to.

And if the unskilled ungeared player is the tank or healer? Only thing I guess to hope for is the DPS can kill fast enough to make up for their lack of skill of a healer or tank.

With that kind of ilv, and that much Myth, they've been playing a while. And yet...they still are clueless.

Like I said in the 2nd half of my post which you cut it out - at least bad players with higher ilvl can make it through just by having better gear while low ilvl + low skill makes it basically impossible.

That's not a positive. At all. That's a HUGE negative.

Oh boy...they can just overgear a dungeon and get through...now they think they can do it everywhere.

Oh wait...they can't. If they do happen to succeed past Titan HM...its because they were carried, not because they did anything meaningful.

I don't know how many i85 Primal EX parties I've joined with absolutely terribad people who have obviously been carried through stuff, or just overgeared dungeons for their gear.

Also, if you wanna talk primals, i think people who buy runs to be carried are a bigger problem than unskilled players with high level gear.

Anecdotal evidence. Myself I completed hard dungeons with people with ilvl50-60. If you get hit as a DPS is becuase you aren't doing your job/don't know the dungeon. If you do low DPS you aren't doing properly your job. Was he doing the proper MNK rotations, using DOTS accordingly and positional combos correctly? that's the question.

Except there are damage caps in this game despite the lack of depth. Proper Rotations does only so much if you don't have at least the bare minimum gear to back it up. If you're rocking tortoise shell hora at level 50, you won't do as much damage as a monk doing his rotations in his Zenith or Primal Extreme weapon.

So skill and rotation does matter, but the stat caps also matter since this game has very little depth and is a stat vomit game, it requires a certain amount to keep up. For example it's extremely noticable when you have a healer with a base relic vs zenith.

Yes, its still relevant. Because people who do this come into harder content thinking they can do it, and then just drag down legitimate players expecting people to know the fight (especially in a groups labeled "experienced-only)

Ultimately...it doesn't matter if they were carried or are new from overgearing dungeons. Results are the same; people who have no clue and just fail when they join groups, thinking they can either power through it or they're good since they have the "proper" gear.
