I honestly enjoy being able to freely explore all the overworld areas of FFXIV. If something agros me I can just kill it, because that's what's fun for me.

I don't want areas where I need to get a party or alliance to be able to explore them, that's what dungeons are for.

People always talk about how it was so much fun to sneak/invisible in FFXI. The way I remember it, it wasn't even fun the first time we passed through an area, it was just annoying.

Exactly. And for those wanting sneak and invisible to return, just remember in FFXI SE effectively made those spells useless anyway with a lot of higher level mobs having truesight and truehearing which completely ignored those spells and attacked the player anyway. Redundant spells are redundant I hate to say.

I'm glad ARR I can head from one city to another with relative ease even at low levels and not have to worry about some stupid trash mob picking a fight with me as it just makes things annoying when I want to get somewhere in a hurry. Leave high level agro for dungeons and out-of-reach areas and let newbie areas remain exactly that.
