When Elders Scrolls Online, Wildstar and Everquest Next come out Final Fantasy will die because all those games are new and shiny, but after a month I'll be complaining about those game to because they are all lack luster and will have failed because they are WOW clones. If new MMMORPG stop using the same formula as WOW like all games in the same genre us the same formula maybe people won't get bored like how people got tired of Call of Duty.
Good bye have a good day no but for real this is the what? 100000s thread about this same thing you hardcore or no life players are board good for you quit who cares prob make CT more fun

Everquest Next has very little information on it for people to care.
They are quite a lot of infos about the game and its just gonna smash the competition. Yoshi P is even afraid of it

it might not offer as much as other games
Considering EQ 1 and 2 just defined the mmo genre thats very doubtful, lol. In EQN a "fate" can take a month in real time.

I am moderately interested in EQN, while my interest in ESO and Wildstar is zilch.

That would also involve completely remaking Black Mage since it's entire kit is about waxing and waning of Fire and Ice. You also didn't solve anything and just made the current system but with a different skin. If everyone can do it, then what is the point? It also gimps classes if they don't have the certain gear/skill and makes everything balanced around the elemental instead of skill.

I see them leaving to try the next "wannabe" newest thing, but I don't see them staying. ESO is a *lot* more boring than FFXIV is Pretty much all MMO are all exactly the same these days. The only difference these days is the "fantasy world" you choose to live in. I honestly think ESO is going to be more on par with SWTOR than what it wants to be in WoW.

Whether its Final Fantasy, Star Wars, Elder Scrolls, Dungeons and Dragons, Wizardry, Ultima, Lord of the Rings, Warcraft, Everquest, Guild Wars or any other host of IPs... They are all essentially the same game, barring UI and combat differences. They are all sci-fi/fantasy theme parks with usable abilities. They all have some sort of PvPish type thing going on. They pretty much all have the same type of boring quests/sidequests. They all have stories (though some *are* better than others). You just have to pick the setting which you live in.

I know that which is why I know it will never change now, which brings me back to original point of they simplified the stat system too much which means there is a lack of variety in gear and tactics.

I'd say I'm a casual and I have FF14 on auto-renewal, the monthly subscription isn't significant enough for me to actively unsubscribe and re-subscribe whenever i feel like or don't feel like playing, I just keep it subscribed perpetually and I don't have plans in the near future to stop subscribing.

On the other-hand, I don't have the time to devote to multiple MMOs, as such I tend not to switch around whenever a new game is out.

I'd like to see more non-combat based content though, alot of times I log in just to hang around and enjoy Eorzea and having non-combat content would perhaps rinforce the immersion of "living" in the world of Eorzea and partaking in activities the ordinary folks do.

You mean the game that looks like a Disney production? or perhaps an Avatar crossover?

I don't do raids (any more) in any game. Life is too short for that. Hardcore players are simply people with more free time than is good for them. In WoW, I do Looking For Raid because it isn't real raiding. Nor do I do the extremely time consuming, and often frustrating, quests for legendary gear or relic weapons or whatever, which anyway will become obsolete next expansion.

Basically, I'm playing this game like I play WoW. In FF14, I don't do Hard/Extreme Primals or Coils, the equivalent of raiding here. I ran King Mog till I got the 75 level weapon and am using it for everything I do, while building all my armour to 90.

I do everything else in the game (s) I have fun with. So I am out of the treadmill you mentioned. Simple enough.
The moment you step into collecting ilv90 items, you are in the treadmill. Unless you are to stick with your mog weapon and ilv90 in the future when the game updates to ilv150.
