I fail to see the appeal of any "long term" grinding that could be added to the game. Any kind of grinding is, by definition, boring as hell. If that's anyone's idea of valid content to make us play more time, you opnion sucks and you are wrong. Simple as that.

Endgame content wise, it is literally impossible to keep chumming out content at a fast enough pace for the "upper hardcore" population. By "upper hardcore" here I'm talking about play time. There's only so much you can do to prevent people that put 4-5 hours daily from completing everything quickly.

And, as far as difficulty goes, I like how many people want to say this game is "easy", when it in fact a huge majority of the playerbase can't even beat most of the content, the top tier fight had to be nerfed for any group not in the top 0.1% skill group to start killing her, and the vast majority of the groups killing it is just following up the initial strategies taught by the top groups. Who had to keep going at the fight for over 2 months before even winning and devising those strategies, by the way.

Heck, almost every group that got wins on Twin had to work anywhere between 20-infinty hours. On a single fight. On absolutely any other genre, this would be considered absurd dificulty, but because we're talking about MMOs, suddenly that's "easy"? And that's the real problem here: The mentality that we HAVE to spend a lot of time for the game to be worthwile.

Seriously guys, that's the issue here. At this point I'm putting something around 5-15 hours a week on this game (depending on how bad the Titan EX parties and my CT luck is), and that's more than enough. I do Coil, do Ex Primals, cap myth, get CT drop, mess around farming a ring or w/e, do some dailies to keep my money around the 2.1mil mark and go play something else as soon as I'm tired of this game. 30+ hours monthly (with larger "spikes" right after every major patch) feels like a pretty good time to me on a game that I already finished most of stuff I wanted to do.

I'm glad the game doesn't force me to put more time than I want to, and while there are things I would change about the endgame content, I'm glad that the fights are hard enough to keep me entertained while not being hard enough to crush my balls for hours every week.

Also, let's not forget that there is, in fact, a lot of side content that can keep you busy should you wish to do them (leveling and gearing other classes, treasure hunt, dailies, roulettes, fishing, achievement hunting, etc). It's your choice to ignore them. One I actually understand, I also ignore most of those, but doesn't mean it isn't there.
