    I've joined like 4 free companies now trying to do coil just to have them fragment & disband because people are tired of coil / failing at T5. I've also seen like 4 or 5 good players disappear a few days after actually clearing T5. I already have everything at 50, and outside of getting the rest of the luminaries, or grinding up my chocobo, I really am out of things to do. I suspect that 2.2 will be a day or two of clearing the new storyline, followed by a week or so of possibly maybe farming an easier T5... and then being stuff farming new tomes until I have enough gear to survive T6. MEH.

    Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn was never trying to be revolutionary or light that MMO genre on fire they just wanted to be the best Final Fantasy game and the best Final Fantasy will be an MMO. Elder Scrolls Online, Wildstar and Everquest Next are promising to be revolutionary and a new type of MMORPG but we all now that won't happen and they will use the same formula as the MMORPGS that came before and people will complain pans troll those games on the forum just like this one and quit after a month.

    It released in Korea still with all the content I mentioned.
    Aion had grind not content. They used the grind to give them time to add content. Aion had a tiny game world at the start. It only had 2 end game sets for each class. One for PVP and one for PVE. Most NA players left the game before the 6 month mark, and they started merging servers less then a year after NA release. They had to go FTP to keep that ship sailing. I do not think it would be considered a good example for any MMO designer to follow unless they want lots of fail. I know what you think happened, and it doesn't follow what really happened. It didn't even have the content you mentioned for NA release. You were not the only person to play the game and some of us were there at release. We know how bad Aion's content was.

    Just so you know NA release was September 22, 2009
    First Server merger July 2010
    Padmarashka's Cave was released in 2011 (2.7)
    The only alliance content on release was fort sieges and mass pvp.

    Oh do tell me you want to do a dungeon with 16 random people from other servers that is so difficult you wipe from one mistake. Please tell me that's actually something you'd enjoy because the way I see it we already struggle to have half decent CT runs with 16 other random people when it's this easy. Maybe if we could create our own full alliances yes, but nerfing this content down to where it is was the correct decision.

    I have to call BS on that. Even on Sunday there are Coil groups in the Party Finder. 3/4 of the server doing it on Monday only is an exaggeration.

    We have an estimated 28,000 people on our server. I'm on Balmung as well and my static runs every Monday. I sure as hell don't see 21,000 people on in Winport alone (3/4th of 28000). Hell the server can only support 7500 at peak capacity. You're extreme over exaggerations don't help your argument at all. Yes, while there are many people there on Monday you can't use that to suggest that most of the server fights Twintania, or even attempts the coil at all. Those of us challenging her are in the minority, and those of us able to beat her are in an even smaller minority.

    People bum rush content on Monday after the caps reset. That one day alone is not an indication of how many people on our server tackle this content. At all.

    Woo! nothing worst in this game then getting stuck at a phase. Repeat X amount of time for weeks till you get that phase down so you can get stuck at the next.
