Keep in mind too that Paladins will never reach the same numbers as Warriors, due to their main hand weapon being single handed, whereas Warriors are using a dual-handed main weapon.

Weapon speed has absolutely nothing to do with special attack damage. The only thing it affects is auto-attack damage, but, no matter what, you still deal 83.33 potency per GCD so the DPS is identical. A 300 pot hit on a WAR is going to hit just as hard as a 300 pot hit on a PLD, all modifiers equal.

Ah yes, sorry about that. I tend to forget that the shield also adds to the STR stat. Sword + shield gives the same amount of STR as 2h axe does.
