@op : I would just make 7 additional characters on the same server if I could when new character creation is open up. Get a friend to help with the money move and give 1 mil gil to each of your characters. That allows you to leave the server with at least 8 mil gil in your pocket. Not even including retainers which I know is only 100k so no thought there lol. Items like others have said are also good but nothing beats cold hard cash moving with you.

Read it carefully. Also:

The character you wish to transfer must be at least three days old.

I transferred myself from Phoenix to Odin in January, it took only an hour I believe and nothing got lost on retainers or my inventory.

no, 1 transfer is 1 world(up to all 8 chars if they exist) to another world(if you had many chars you wanted to transfer to multiple worlds it would be more than one transfer), but as mentioned by bunnychain each char must be atleast 3 days old
