World Transfer questions for those who have done it...

Am currently Legacy on Balmung and am going to transfer over to Ragnarok. Just had a couple of questions.

It talks about rehiring retainers after you get moved. I assume you just go through that same procedure that we did in the 1.0 transfer? And did your retainers transfer okay with all their items in tact?

After you initiate the transfer how long did it take?

I don't remember retiring my retainers when I transfered from Excal to Sarg back when the first transfers started.
My retainers did transfer with their inventories completely intact though.

After you initiate the transfer how long did it take?

Okay, heres where it commented about the retainers:

・Your character must rehire any retainers carried over from Version 1.0.

Heres something else I found, anybody know what the limit is?

* Please note there is a limit to the amount of gil that can be transferred, and any gill exceeding this limit will be lost.

that part about rehiring retainers was if your char was a 1.0 char, the retainers have to be rehired before you can transfer

the current amount fo gil you can transfer is 1m per char and 100k per retainer

And about your gil question:

You can transfer with you a maximum amount of 1 million gil plus 100.000 per retainer on your retainers.
If you have more, invest surplus in items with equal or close to equal value, like Allagan coins, if you have less then you have nothing to worry about.

you could always buy alagan coins from the market board then sell them after the transfer

Yeah I guess thats an option if I will make my money back...

Its a good thing I read the "fine print". I wonder how many people transferred without knowing that...

Just be careful to not have a placeholder character with the your name on that world. I just got screwed out of a weekend of play because I had no warning that the forced name change wont let you reuse the old name.
