I get that some people are explorer types, and that's what they find fun in the game. Running from place to place, uncovering cool scenery and taking in the art. I do this sometimes myself, with the teleporting as is. What I don't really understand is this community's insistence upon shoving what they deem fun down other's throats.

There is nothing stopping you from running from point A to point B and not teleporting. If that's what you truly enjoy, you can do it now. Not having that option would literally ruin the game for some folks, and cause a lot of frustration for lots more. There's no need to force what you consider fun upon the populace with really no reason other than telling them they should enjoy it because that's what you enjoy (which is not a good reason).
