While I think it would be better, the game would still feel like a giant lobby you stand around in while waiting for instances to pop. As it is now. If the game had more emphasis on needing to travel I think it would be great.

Oh how I miss the days of riding seamlessly into a dungeon with a guild to do a raid. Instancing has taken a lot of the fun out of MMOs...

I disagree. Instancing has changed the kinds of fun to be experienced in MMOs. Furthermore, riding the same roads repeatedly neither furthers exploration nor constitutes as fun for most players, which is why most MMOs are going away from that route.

People are all itchy for new zones but I say that even the current ones need more reasons to exist before they start adding more areas. We HAVE land, plenty of it. No go put stuff to do in there plz.

I'd be ok with it but tbh opposed to getting it up and running again wouldn't mind some big community quest where WHM uncover the teleport spells (like XI) have like 1 teleport per region.

No. WHMs in XIV do not thematically fit with teleportation magic. THMs are a better fit, because they already have a short-ranged teleport.

That said, such a change would be forcing every single player to level THM, even if they have no interest in the class, if they didn't want to be bled dry by the people who did have it leveled charging people way more than what they'd have to pay if nothing changed. And even if I did have THM leveled and wanted to get money from the people that didn't, I don't wanna be a fucking taxi all day. I was a WHM in XI and being a tele-taxi was somewhat profitable but boring as hell and took up a lot of time that I could have been using to do something actually fun.

Um what? We definitely don't need Teleport and Warp stuck on a single job like we did back in FFXI.

If people don't want to walk in the overworld then just let them be. Other people being capable of teleporting hasn't stopped me from running through each zone.

People may hate the idea of long spawn times and camping but they were things that gave you a reason to play.

There are much better ways to give us a reason to play than crap mechanics like camping (which doesn't even give us a reason to play, just a reason to afk between windows).

i suppose people would agree but it would give life to the world and break the line drive that is 50>endgame>i90>patch wall. Just think some Branching out needs to be done is my point. Also to the botting comment cant stop it no matter what you do.

I don't use my mounts I walk/sprint everywhere. But here's the thing....I don't need to go any where ._. all anyone needs to do is stand in Toll then one day out the week walk to Wineport.
