* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

Thanks duelle, so yeah it seems as if it's almost a complete rip off from Pokemon given it's 'WoWkemon' names and abilities in-game? So clearly if they managed to do this without any kind of problems from the makers of Pokemon than SE shouldn't have too much difficulty.This should give you an idea without exposing you too much to WoW.

FFXI's Pankration as mentioned earlier on in the post is effectively the same sort of system, just takes a lot of time setting the fights up, but at least they have a system they could use and modify on if they chose to.
