So do we have to wait for 2.2 for this to be fixed or are you going to apply a hotfix with all the other hotfixes 2.16 has required thus far?Greetings,
The development team is looking into placing limitations on the use of the ready check feature, as this should not be used during battle. In addition, for patch 2.2 they are also discussing making it so the person who initiated the ready check will have their name displayed.
That's great news, thank you.Greetings,

I would agree with several others in this thread that voting to abandon and voting to kick should also display the name of the player to initiate it. If a player wants to remove someone from a dungeon then the least he can do is man up and put his name to it. I think that would help to promote a more mature usage of the feature.
just make it so it can only be done by the party leader...
In LotRO, only the leader of your party gets to ask for a ready check. Problem solved.
There really needs to be a curb for the ready check and the vote abandon features - Vote abandon should just be removed altogether as it is being abused. Vote abandon is a very useful tool, when it is used for its intended purpose, however when its used after 1 wipe in a raid, everyone else rejects it and the party lead keeps spamming it, its outright abuse.
The party check should be initiated by the party leader only. A lot of the MMO's out there follow this logic.
A common feature in other games is that once combat begins the window will not pop back up- you have to click the tab to bring it up if you choose to. I would like if you could also specify why you aren't ready, (negatives are ignored in all of my CT runs) it could be set up so that a help-window type pop-up displays when you mouse over the negative response (or custom icons to indicate the situation).
Other vote dismiss/ kick features probably shouldn't show the name of the initiator though as the anonymity may be necessary especially for people trying to kick an abusive player. A short lock-out for that player specifically if their vote gets denied wouldn't be a terrible idea though. I'm thinking 5 minute ball-park. By then they would be back in combat for a vote dismiss or probably stormed out themselves if they tried to vote kick someone they couldn't stand.
Hey everyone,
We've confirmed that the team is looking into limiting the use of ready check to outside of battle around patch 2.3.

While I don't have this trouble so far (may because luckily I'm on JP server), but around 2.3 (which means 3 month later) for such an anti-abuse feature? Seriously?
I'm sorry. i'm on JP server and of course we are blend with English speakers players...
Last night, that was the first time i felt really annoyed inside CT from the start until Acheron because of non-stop <ready check> abuse command. I think dev.team need faster to fixes this issue.
Shhh, they have priorities. I really don't know what I would do if I couldn't earn the trust of another NPC in the MSQ. I would like faint.
