If it is not ready for 2.2, will the current version that is Live be removed until these changes are ready?Greetings,
I have some additional information about the upcoming adjustments to the Ready Check feature to share.
The development team is currently working on the below:
- Changing the feature so it cannot be used while in battle.
- Changing the feature so the name of the person who initiated it is displayed.
- Addition of a "wait" or "hold" button.
- Changing the feature so when you close the Ready Check window it does not automatically pop back up. (The tally results will be displayed in the chat log when doing this.)
The team is currently looking into whether they can implement these prior to patch 2.2.
Thanks Camate
Hey wanna visit my FSHing Thread & comment there about your guys' plans to make FSHing more interesting?
Had a group last night, worst run in a long time, and while the ready check spam wasn't too bad, i found out there is no way to mute or blacklist other players in there. I checked loadstone, and one alliance was mostly if not all from the same FC, they trolled most of the whole dungeon, insulted others who complained, some of them sat out during boss fights, etc. This is the biggest problem to me about big raids, no punishment if the abuser is in another Alliance full of friends. You should be either able to mute them, or kick cross alliance.
It's also the first time since the game was 1.0 that i reported people for harassment, other than bots and gil sellers. That's saying something.
Please make it so that it doesn't take the window focus from what you're doing!
This is a problem with a lot of windows, notoriously teleport confirmation and raise/home point window.
They pop up, take away the window focus, and you accidentally cancel/confirm what you didn't want to yet.
.x[ Devante ]x.
when will people learn how to use ready check instead yelling A ok B ok C ok in crystal tower >< i'm so annoyed.
The trouble is that people are abusing ready check, so parties are just opting to use alternative means to check for readiness. The idea is good, implementation has failed for now.
For those who haven't seen it yet, we've got what we asked for! Not only does Ready Check now have a 'respond later' option, it doesn't focus in the middle of the window and it now displays a text log entry naming who called for it.
A massive thanks to the dev team for this.
