Because I enjoy the options you get in an MMORPG vs a stand-alone RPG. I also like having the option of teaming up with a good friend and tackling challenges together.

You act like you are forced to only do it with your friend and can't just duty finder it. That's doing it at your own pace.
You also act like you have options everywhere else, when you don't. You can't do the majority of the storyline "instanced battles" in a party. There are times when a party is needed, and there's times when it's not. Either way, you do it; what's the difference?
Considering in his own words Yoshida said 2.1 was supposed to have
I think it's time to deliver a bit, unless he was talking the crap treasure hunts you can only do once a day or the beast tribe dailies you can only do 6 a day and have to be level 42 to do them? That to me is not solo content in any real form of truly being able to solo. I would love the option to solo at times when I can't get into dungeons but there is none. I hate trying to level a new DPS when the que times for dungeons are so long and I hate fates...content for solo players.

There is a game that does this is called Guild Wars 2 and is horrible, too easy for main story that is suck so bad.
Is there a reason why my character can't go pass level 20 on ps4 beta is it restricted
No, I didn't say that I can only do a dungeon with my friend and yes, I know that we can't help each other in instance battles. What I am saying, with regards to my friend(s), is that when our schedules match up we enjoy running around in the game and helping each other where we can like completing hunting logs or taking on FATEs together. We've queued for dungeons together in the Duty Finder as well. Unfortunately we can't always do this.
Let me ask this, have all of you instantly gotten into a dungeon with a random group forged by the Duty Finder and gotten through said dungeon on one try with no one complaining about someone else, no one dying, no one quitting mid dungeon for each and every dungeon that you had to go through to complete the story?
If you look through several other posts in the forums that have suggestions about changes for the game you will find others have thrown in for the ability to run a dungeon from the storyline solo as well.
"why do I have to play with other people in a MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE ROLE PLAYING GAME"
I hope they never make solo dungeons.. why? because you people should just go play a single player game.
Yes...many, many times. I've also had many volatile groups that trudged through the dungeon to completion. I'm also the opposite of you. I want more and more difficult group battles for story-line content. FFXI nostalgia consumes me sometimes, and that's one of the big reasons why. I thought pre-2.15 Good King Moggle Mog was pretty well tuned.Let me ask this, have all of you instantly gotten into a dungeon with a random group forged by the Duty Finder and gotten through said dungeon on one try with no one complaining about someone else, no one dying, no one quitting mid dungeon for each and every dungeon that you had to go through to complete the story?
