I think just overall they did a bad job with PVP right now. :S Shouldn't release something if you're gonna do it half arsed right?![]()
Yesterday i was looking at some old pvp videos i'd record to study and learn and i found that comps with 3 pets caused me to pause or change my style of play so i wouldn't call it 'not fun' because it's synonymous with 'boring'.
Although i'd love for them to make some changes, such as their bias towards Holy Paladins (ffs warriors get ability 'magic' lol) and give us some actual use to pwn these h̶e̶r̶e̶t̶i̶c̶s strong comps or Esuna.
Either or.
My prediction: SE will keep war amazingly devastating in PvP so later down the line you must do lolPvE to get PvP stuff... and that will fix the 'lack of tank' issues. /pets cat.
all I can say to about the pvp in this game is rofl. I thought this was the greatest mmo ever - then I pvped .... what a joke trying to pug as a new player. The gear balance issue is totally ridiculous , im level 37 and everyone I see in matches is in crazy gear , no one communicates , its just a sad joke.
Had over 500k hks in wow so I do like the pvp aspect of mmo's but this is the worst pvp system ive ever seen. 20 matches in a row and not 1 win. Something is wrong there , glad I didn't subscribe yet...sheesh.
Yeah use lv 30 gear and lv 40 gear in the brackets until you get some decent pvp gear. Morale is only in the 50 bracket so that gear doesn't make a huge difference except in 50. Unless you were doing lv 50 pvp with bad gear, that is different.
Even if I do as you suggest it wont make any difference , last match pretty much made up my mind, both dps on my team focused their healer and could barely make a dent in his health , the opposing team proceeded to waste our healer in a matter of seconds.
Something is very wrong and nearly all the new leveling players in pvp matches ive spoken to say similar things , very sad really as I was finding this to be an awesome game but I like to pvp while I level , my experience from about 40 matches tells me don't go near pvp , its disheartening and a waste of time.
If that is happening in 30s/40s bracket that sounds more like a l2p issue for your team rather than a gear issue. If you're getting stomped in 50s, yeah, that's a gear issue and I agree that the absurd gap between direwolf and anything else will drive new players away.Even if I do as you suggest it wont make any difference , last match pretty much made up my mind, both dps on my team focused their healer and could barely make a dent in his health , the opposing team proceeded to waste our healer in a matter of seconds.

If you have the relevant skill to PvP and can find some friends, you can still compete with r30's without r30 yourself... Yeah you will lose plenty, but it's not like they are invincible. If they have r30 gear and are very proficient, and your team doesn't and lacks player skill, you have no chance.
Use Sprint and then Invigorate. You can now chase the caster/healer and still have TP. If you don't have Invigorate and you are a Monk, go get it.
We've found that our SCH can Adloq and Stoneskin and avoid being interrupted because those absorb the damage before he does. Obviously it's different for different classes, but shields of any sort seem really useful if you're worried about being interrupted
I don't feel like I lose too much damage on my Monk despite not having positioning. I keep up with the Bards I play with in terms of damage done and they have it relatively easy in terms of who they can hit and when.- Removal of positional requirements on attacks
Currently playing a class without positional requirements is far beyond frustrating. With how mobile PvP is in its current state coupled with how inconsistent latency is it's a nightmare trying to reliably fulfill positional requirements on attacks.
