Epic Healer Stories

I know I'm just getting started with this game, but my best story so far came tonight. I was in an 8 player FATE party around Costa, and I was so on top of the healing even for "It's not Lupus" that the other WHM in the party activated Cleric and spent the rest of the night in a DPS role.

Kind of an epic party story:

Running Cutter's Cry for the first time with a Tank friend of mine. Joined in PUG by two pretty awesome DPS players (a Monk and a Black Mage). Most of the dungeon is uneventful, we make it to the Chimera fight at the end.

At some point in the battle, we all get hit with some hard latency, and the Tank and the Monk both get smacked by the Blue Eyes AoE and another frontal cone right after (didn't even have time to heal either of them.) and both go down. I'm at the top of the room. The Black Mage pulls Aggro and kites the Chimera around the room while I manage to successfully Raise the Tank, while being targeted by the Chimera's exploding ball attack. Kite the ball away, let it explode, throw Cure II and Regen on the Tank to get him back to full, pop Shroud of Saints to lose aggro and regain MP, then Raise the Monk.

Tank dies one more time due to latency a little later, pop off another Raise while being targeted by the exploding ball attack, kite it away before throwing another Cure II and Regen on him. We finish off the boss and everyone celebrates

Totally saved the entire group from two wipes because our DPS players were awesome and able to keep aggro off me long enough to Raise the Tank twice (and the Monk once). Seriously good teamwork there, it was intense.

My static White Mage died early into the last phase in turn 4 with 2 Dreadnoughts and soldier/knight and I solo healed both tanks as Scholar until we won. Our summoners swiftcast was just used on Shadowflare and mine was just used on my pet as he went down so I couldn't raise him either. Though I will say my tanks did really well and staggered their HG when I was getting overwhelmed + our MNK used Bloodbath and Second Wind when he got hurt.

I just say f@&^ it let's have some fun.

The paladin and myself proceed to duo down Ifrit from 20% by spamming ghetto cures and physicks on him while dodging every eruption, plume, and charge. I toss in a few dots and a couple LB1's when I can, keep sustain running to help my pet live through everything that isn't being stunned now, and we eventually down him. Our group was calling wipe as soon as they all died and couldn't believe the two of us finished it alone.

LMAO ahh this reminds me of when I did the fight on my alt was War to get his relic ilvl 60 or so lol. At about 30% or so everyone who should I don't know have been dodging things except for me and one healer was dead. We ended up soloing him together was an epic carry that's for sure. I think they we all shocked that it could be two maned after nails.

In Copper Bell hm. We get to the last boss no problem, no wipes or anything so we were expecting a smooth run.

Near the end of the boss fight. One of the dps drops the crystal and expodes, damaging both dps and
shortly after the worms aoe kills both of them, leaving me almost dead and the tank at 1/4th. The boss is at 1/4th hp aswell but the tank calls for a wipe. I tell him "no we got this" and keep healing and raise the melee dps and he limits before dying 5 seconds later to the bosses roar. The tank and me then dps the boss down while i
also handle the last few worm feedings leaving the fairy close when i go to feed. We win and i get 0 commendation

In T5 last week:
OT and Whm died during divebombs...
I hadn't noticed they died until after divebomb phase and our MT had all snakes stacked already on him. I looked at my party list and realized that the OT and whm was dead and was like ooooh crraaaap...
I've had plenty of moments proving i'm a god, but this topped them all..
Solo healed through as SCH our now solo tank through all snake adds plus big snake, with tank rotating all his CDs and my eye for an eye, sacred soil, all my eos cooldowns, and healed right through everything then the 4 stacks of the snake debuff on the tank.
I said to my group while this was happening: "guys..... I'm a god."
But all that for nothing since right after Twin's ultimate attack, our MT died anyways going to pick her up since we both had no CDs to use on him lol

That's impressive! You must be really geared to pull that off. Like you've had a lot of drops in allagan gear or something!

If by a lot of Allagan you mean none then you are correct!

I decided to join a PUG for Ifrit HM with my IRL husband, Coyote Walks. It was a fubar: someone ran in and aggro'd Ifrit before we were finished buffing everyone, 2 people were down within seconds and we wiped at the nails. We tried again, managed to keep everyone alive past the nails, dps were dropping like flies because they couldn't dodge anything. Everyone was dead except my husband (war) and I (whm), so I popped the LB3 to raise everyone, we still wiped. DPS and the OT just couldn't dodge Ifrit or his aoe at all. Epic fail, but it was one of the few times I did an LB3 as a WHM. Awesome.

Wow, even more impressive. I just checked your profile on XIVpads though. You have 3 drops in Allagan, two of which you use on your SCH. I mean it's lower that I would have expected for you to be able to solo heal T4, so I am impressed!

But why lie about your gear? O_o Seems to strange on a post about your abilities!
