    This is the kinda thing I was looking for!

    Though looking at Acheron and the Emperor, it almost looks as though they resemble the gigas outside CT (or the other way around). Maybe this race "devolved" into the Gigas we have today and somehow survived whatever killed off the Allagan?

    This would make sense, seeing as how the Gigas just outside the Crystal Tower seem to revere it as something holy. If they are the descendants of the Allagans they may not realize it, but they may still understand that they have a connection with the Crystal Tower somehow.

    Though the surviving Allagan's size and features may also just be a result of whatever technology is keeping them going.
