Our first 3 trys we went the right side not to do it the ROT way. And they failed miserably, that why in the end they decided to go the Rot way at the end. And nobody bothered to explain me a thing at the beginning why tanks are switching until later one of them has finally spoken. I my self have plaied it only 2 ways, the Rot on the left side and the Enrage mod. And all the groups ive been they all plaied this 2 ways with single tank. Ive reached until T4 so i know the fights.
You failed understand my thread completely, its not about how you play T2.

As for the aoes i explained it pretty much in my OP, if you fail to understand, i cant do a thing about it. Im a 3ed person view player, and they kept forcing me to play it 1st person. I cant play like so at all.

And next time you and your FC register your party in PF make sure to give info, that you are all from the same FC and soon you will be replacing the joined person.

Just a general rule of thumb...as a dps, you should avoid the front of the boss and where the tanks are standing because not only do some bosses cleave, but because you are also lowering your own damage in doing so. If you need to slow down for a second to recognize where the tanks are and to take note of where the boss will be turning for a switch, it is worth doing so.

Helps if you aren't sure about a certain method/strategy because this is true for all fights in the game at the moment.

It sounds like the tanks were not used to doing this with melee dps. If they taunt at 180 degrees the ADS will turn and cleave the melee. Most of my experience in turn 2 is with passing rot. If the melee died in any group I ran with it was because of tank positioning. It makes no sense they'd place the OP against the wall. If they were positioning properly the melee should have plenty of room to avoid mechanics without risk of getting cleaved. OP they weren't going to clear it with you anyway until they acknowledged they were getting you killed.

So... they replace the weakest link with someone from their FC because was gettting hit by stuff that he is suppose to not get hit and you whine in the forums because it was you? There are pleanty of position you can take if the wall is so much of a bother to you. Telling here they were wrong to replace you and that you are not use to be in front of a wall because you play in 3th person are preaty lame excuses to get hit.

is the rot method really that hard for people? i joined a 7/8 static once as a pug healer and i was able to catch on after the first wipe. putting numbers over peoples heads and counting is hard yo

My group picked up 2 pugs last week. 1 had never done the rot passing before. Won on the first try. People just need to learn to communicate better.

I'm still not sure what you're talking about exactly.

Going Right or Left after the first node is not a "Enrage" or "Rot Passing" decision; you choose the side to get ride of mechanics and to get certain buffs on ADS. Left side removes the Chain Lightning and Fire AoEs and adds Magic and Slashing Resistance. Right side removes Gravity Wells and the Pac-Man Pushback AoEs and adds Piercing and Blunt resistance. If the group was BRD, DRG and MNK stacked, going Right is BAD for DPS, and that's probably why you failed. We go Left with MNK-BRD-SMN, Right with BRD-BLM-SMN (our fourth DPS is a heal for Enrage and both tanks are tanks; we just want to win with as little headache as possible and people can take a short break while waiting)

I don't see you saying that you left the instance to get a second tank and drop a heal, so I assume you entered initially with 2-2-4 set-up, so you never tried Enrage in the first place and tanks were swapping the whole time

From what I can gather from your posts, you just don't know how to deal with tank-swapping, and never have actually done T2 the Rot way. If you were constantly out of position and hit by AoEs and the base attack, being replaced is reasonable for the overall group. The very first node you should have recognized tank swapping and if you had no idea what was happening you should have said something, not waited for them to say something and kept dying.

EDIT: Yeah, re-reading the OP that's what it is; you've never done T2 the "correct" way before and just have no idea what is going on. You didn't speak up and say anything and just kept making mistakes; if a PUG does that to us we can't really feel sorry for booting him for wasting our time (because that's what they are doing). If you speak up and say you don't know what's going on we will explain things to you and help you out (heck, we took a new PLD into T4 the one week and cleared it in minimal attempts after explaining what he had to do); if you refuse to say anything and just keep screwing up, we will replace you.

I'd venture to guess that they didn't bother to tell you their tactics because they wanted to replace you as soon as their FC member showed anyway. In fact, with such a group of people, they probably wished that you make as many mistake as you can so they can kick you out easier.

I hate it when people just sack outsiders like that. Either they should just wait, or they should be committed to play with that outsider for the run.

Reread what you posted.

They invite new booty, don't tell him anything on purpose so he will continuesly make mistakes and the party wipes. Because they are waiting on an FC mate to login. That's golden...where did you come up with that?
