    The most recent thing I've heard from the parsing apps is that they now read the memory to get a much more accurate number for dots, and the only thing they still have to estimate is Shadow Flare/Flaming Arrow. Of course, that assumes the person telling you this has been updating his stuff at all and has properly configured his combat log (turned on all the options, basically).

    'Course, the last thing I heard from SE was that parsers are mysteriously bannable. Use at your own risk, basically.

    many parsers don't count DoT if there is no intial damage (like Bio and BioII iirc). They are improving constantly but it represents a great loss in dps for SMN if a derp player is reading the reports.

    Last thing I heard was that ou can be banned for parser advertising, not actual use of them. Probably not a good idea to argue about it without an official statement though ^.^
