Yeah, we didn't get past the first boss...
Legitimate excuse... If this were most other FF games. Cure III works like Cura/Curaga and heals less than Cure II, some people fail to understand that. Cure 1 is still the best route for healing, with Cure II for damage spikes.

It's like how some tanks in this game are using provoke to generate hate because that's how it worked in FFXI. It changed, but people don't realize it or read the skill descriptions lol.

I like the french translation for that particular reason.
In french, the skills are literally "Heal", "Extra Heal", "Mega Heal" and "Medica", "Extra Medica".
Offensive skills are "Wind", "Extra Wind" and "Earth", "Extra Earth".

No I, II, III bullsh*t, implying that the skills are linked in some way, but still different, which forces you to read what they're actually doing besides a better healing power.

Hahah, yeah.. I am so used to the old Final Fantasy names. The way healing spells are named and how they work for WHM is just so confusing.

I am trying to learn to play WHM and I have figured it's something like this:

    Cure: Basic Cure.
Cure II: Better Cure, but less MP efficient.
Cure III: AoE Cure originating from the player it's cast at, better than Cure, less than Cure II.
Medica: Yet another AoE Cure, but this time it originates from me.
Medica II: Same as Medica, except it's heals for LESS, but it gives players Regen.
    Regen: Regen.

    THIS MAKES NO SENSE. /faints

Cure : Basic Single Target Heal
Cure 2 : Large Single Target Heal
Cure 3 : Large Target based group Heal
Medica: Medium Large PB range AE direct Heal
Medica 2: PG Large Radius Group REgen with medium upfront heal
    Regen : Single target HoT

Cure 2 Proc- Free large single heal
Cure 3 Proc - Cheap large target based AE heal (aggro, yay!)
Benediction : Emergency Single Target Heal CD

-Divine Seal - Occasional boost for heal (I like it with Medica)
-PoM- CD for faster heals... good for efficient cure spam, accelerated buffing (stoneskin)... or accelerated group heals.. medicas/medica 2

So we're shaming SCH for not micromanaging their pets now? That is not needed on any fight except T5 and possibly EM primals at some points.

no, just no. a sch/smn should be working at all times to maximize the efficiency of their pets, whether its brayflox or t5 it doesnt matter. if thats too much for you than dont play a pet class. letting your pet cast whispering dawn at the start of a pull, in turn drawing massive hate and stealing aggro is a noob move and incredibly annoying for tanks, when it can be easily mitigated with 2 macro's.

if you arent playing your class to its full potential then you are little more that a liability. personally im sick of carrying people through encounters because they are too lazy/dumb to learn their class

Yes...it is a clear showing of skill when you micromanage Eos perfectly in Sashtasha

The thing is that it literally only takes you 3 clicks to make sure your pet isn't doing something retarded. Target mob, hit steady and then finally heel at the start of a dungeon or whenever you resummon your pet. It's not hard. The fairies spam all their skills on CD whether they are needed or not. During those few seconds that Eos spends casting whispering dawn, she could easily be pulling off an embrace and possibly save someone from death. SCHs don't have to micro manage their pet to the point of maximum efficiency but taking literally 2 seconds to press a few buttons at the start of a fight could save lives. It's little effort for much more efficiency for you and the party.

Just another troll thread about making things harder for people so that you can be more elite than other players.

As a casual player, I have been leveling mainly through the DR. and because the duty roulette is always sending me to the lower levels, I realized I wasn't getting much practice with higher difficulty content. So I took it upon myself to go into higher level dungeons to practice, and ask people for advice and feedback. Point being, people are bad because they are bad. Those who want to be better will find a way. So stop trying to make it harder to level up because that has nothing to do with one's aptitude.
