everyone's common belief that if you aren't r30 and you somehow win against r30s, its do to horrible play on the part of said r30s. So do what you wish with that little tidbit.

Well, that's because it mostly is.

This game doesn't have enough depth and skill based components to its PvP for it to be much of anything else (like outplaying them for example), we really shouldn't pretend otherwise.
Other factors might matter some, but not quite so much as the r30s screwing up.

Gear is honestly that huge.
It's more their match to lose than the other team's to win, unfortunately.
