Strategy to not get 2 shot by Blue Blankets

Have you tried use blizzard 2 that have under 2 sec cast, If you smash button you should get it off.

Yes, I do use blizzard 2 as much as possible. AA does cancel it, and getting the timing just right to land it between a skill+aa can be a crap shoot. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont.

Have you played BLM in recent weeks? It might just be Aether datacenter, but the influx of decent to skilled MNKs is making things like getting fire1s and thunders off mid fight close to impossible. Whatever cooldowns you have that dont get silenced through (LOL NO DR EVER, WITH NO COOLDOWN) are used to save your ass, not damage.

At most it's possible that I as a monk could silence you for roughly 10 seconds with perfect balance --> arm of the destroyer, followed by 6 seconds of stuns, followed by somersault/feint for vastly reduced spellcasting speed. However, staying exactly on a moving target to hit all 5 of those silences with perfect balance would be difficult, maybe easier with heavy. Either way Taneshima is correct, if I'm doing this I'm vastly gimping my damage and am relying fully on my other dps to take down their targets.

I'm referencing specifically during equanimity / surecast. You wouldnt just preemptively PB and silence spam us without ensuring we just wasted our 5-7 min cooldown.

Everyone's DPS sky-rockets at Rank30. How much of an increase depends on your personal skill really, I get some healers I can pressure only but for some worst off ones I can solo them down. But still MRD is a one trick pony once the healer gets a hang of it, especially WHMs, MRDs have a hard time doing anything.

Yeah the netcode in this game leaves something to be desired from a PVP (or any high level play) environment. At least I know that whatever problems I have everyone else is experiencing also which leaves the heart of why I still enjoy PVP: to master myself and get better. Still sucks to spam attacks on someone and not connect even though I'm standing on someone or to have Holmgang bind me 3 feet from my target.
