PLD doesn't have lvls. It's just a "tag" you slap onto your GLA. So whatever lvl your GLA is, the PLD is the same. The only thing it is is that with your PLD "tag" equipped, you get adjustments to your skillset, possibly gear, attributes, etc.So if your 50 GLA, you can be a 50 PLD. Well, what happens if they let u have access to PLD before 50? If I'm 30 GLA and become a 30 PLD, does both the GLA and PLD lvl raise together if I play one? And if not at 30, 50+. Does playing the PLD job raise the main GLA class? Also goes to future jobs if they add more branching from the GLA, or will we not be able to lvl under a job, just the class itself?
Matsui's blueprint indicated that jobs would have abilities gained from quests.
There is job progression, but it's apparently not based on experience grinding.
Some sort of merit system would be a good addition for capped jobs.
Eh, the cap raise will come soon enough. First fifty levels were more of a game tutorial anyway, not so much LEARN YOUR JOB NUB.
If SE have plans for job system, why don't they explain them instead of giving us these damn little and unclear news?????
Don't they understand these things make people more angry?
I agree with everyone saying that they wish they could level up the new advanced jobs from lvl 1 so that they can learn how to play them. However, if the only difference between the armoury classes and the advanced jobs is the ability to use 'specialized abilities', I really don't think it's going to take a whole lot of time to learn how to use them, and I really don't feel like having to level up from 1 to do that. Now, if there were some more lower level game content to explore, then hell yeah I would love to level up my new advanced job from lvl 1... but sadly that's not the case.
Also, most players are already familiar with the basic roles of party play (tank, DD, healer), and they'll figure out quickly how to use their newly unlocked jobs. I'm really not too worried... And if by chance you run into someone who doesn't know what they're doing, just take a couple minutes of your life to offer some suggestions and be on your way.
for gods sake, just dont make me earn like PLD specific skills with "marks" im not a fan of the randomly crappy mark system.
Because plans are not necessarily the final product. If they would show their plans to us and we wouldn't get some, hatestorm would be enormous.
It's also been stated that classes are being revamped to feel more unique. People who are already level 50 might have to relearn allot of what there classes/jobs will entail. This to me is going to be a time sink when the overhaul is released.
