I 100% disagree with thisAll I really ask of you Bayohne is please tell the developer's I'll hunt them down if Lancer->Dragoon doesn't have Jump from day 1. (Also, put us back into heaviest tier of armor again please, platemail is part of what makes dragoon's jumping ability so impressive. And I'll pass on the wyvern this time around, so there's no factoring that in to weakening our damage input as a result.) But really, Jump!
please give dragoons the "Fall" ability on day 1 and force them to fight in their underwear![]()

Just one question. Gladiator/Fencer => melee-capable Red Mage. Will it happen this time?
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Why do I get the feeling that the dev reps are allowed to answer specific questions with gems, but only if we ask the right questions first. Maybe they're I, Robot holograms.
Can we put the rewards from raids in a bread basket?
Does the thm job start with the letter R and end in ed mage??

WHAT? Paladin unlock from Goldsmith????

I dont mind this because I'm against the whole "levelling" system as its just a time sink, but that is what this game needs, it needs something to work for, and we aint getting any decent content anytime soon to work towards. People will hit 50 job right away, and mess around on it for like a week and that be it, they'll of done everything they can do it on and they'll have to wait another month or so for content to be released so they'll be back here again.
On the other hand if you levelled them, it'd buy SE 1-2 months of time while people level them up. It'd be like a reset button but without wiping anything.
I get the point tho, for example if I wanted to be Paladin I'd still have to rank up my Glad to 50 and its only like 20 now, and then if i had to rank up from 1 all over again, it would be annoying, so i do favor the getting them early idea such as rank 30.
If they aint going to be much different than the class that initiates the job then there isn't much reason to redo the levels.
I've been grinding my butt off more or less for 8 months and continue to do so. I'm looking forward to being done and not having to re-grind the "advanced" version of my job. From everything they've said these jobs will not be wildly different than the "basic" class form. You're not going to need to learn a radically new play style for them. What this game needs is content and questing, not ANOTHER grind.
The journey to endgame is more fun than actually being there. At least when you have a game with content that is.

I think leveling should be a part of the fun and not a 'grind' so hopefully they will fix partying, get us some content, and give us a reason to level these classesI like what I've heard of this system and look forward to it!

My issue is this -- let's assume CON branches into Summoner at 50 -- There won't be any of that wonderful 1-10 learning how to use Carby properly D:
And similar examples for every other job.
Currently, the 'classes' aren't even what make Final Fantasy jobs to begin with, nor do I feel any sort of roles distinguishing between them -- there's simply melee and mage.
I sincerely hope if there's any kind of 'branching,' that it will be much lower.... doesn't 10 or 20 sound good? ^^
But yeah, would've preferred not hearing that. =/
