Someone hasn't played FFXI in a bit. They dropped support for the PS2 a long time ago, only Japan has support and that's till they decide if they want to make a PS3 version of it or not, but PS2 is no longer supported in any region outside of Japan.

Dropping PS3 support does nothing because this game is designed for compatibility between platforms. Why are PC ONLY MMORPGs still limited and rarely going "above and beyond"? The platform of choice does nothing if the developers doesn't take advantage of what they have in front of them. FYI, the design was on purpose, they wanted max compatibility for the PC side of things so people can't complain their notebooks can't run the game.

The frame rate stuttered between 10 and 15 in a completely unpopulated zone (Camp Tranquil).

There is no frame rate issues on ps3... none... zero... zip.

Doesn't really matter. Ps3 limitation is the reason this game won't get anywhere. I just cant wait for SE to implement their "huge map fort pvp battle" just so i can see how dumbed down and bad it is because it need to be playable on a toaster

I play on the ps3 and have none of these problems that you are seeming to have... Perhaps you need to upgrade your ps3 and stop using the original model from 7 years ago and while your at it get hdmi cord and run it on a plasma or lCD tv... You do realize that refresh rates on your tv also reflect on graphics... I plan on moving to ps4 but to tell SE they need to pull the plug on the ps3... Your as foolish as this post...!!!

Nah, the game really has legitimate issues on PS3. But for some of us it's the only way to play the game, so if we're not complaining then why request this? OP's not doing it out of kindness of his heart, it's a thinly veiled request to get rid of PS3 limitations so that PC and PS4 versions can improve.
