Just how much time do you have on your hands? Because short of been under house arrest or house bound with something else you really should go and do real world things - not been mean when I say that but seriously sounds like you (and many others, as I've said before) spend too much time playing games.

As for that GW2 comparison, yeah thats fair compare an 18month old game to one thats not even six months old yet.
About 20-30 hours per week, casual. If not playing games I'm working as an engineer at Qualcomm.

If you have darklight, relic and food you can start doing Coil and be a perfectly well geared, contributing member of your group. If you need to obtain some upgrades that aren't affected by the weekly cap, you should consider running Ultima HM for accessories and Extreme Primals
Okay, I figured since it was end game that I would need some better gear, but that is good to know. I'll give coil a shot. Unless, I am with a premade, I won't bother farming extremes or ultimate hard. I've done enough pugs with those to realize 10/10 times = 100% fail. People can't dodge.

Apart from primal weapon, you have a chance for mount and primal material.

If this still does not get you up in the game, then there is always crafting or gathering.
If you are a type hating to craft and gather, then go help some newbies or your FC mates on Titan HM and teach them the game.
If you are selfish and lazy to help newbies on conquering Titan HM, then do treasure hunt.
If you hate the mommy cap because it restrains you from being able to put more time into farming for better gear that you are now going to be the next world's first by conquering endgame raids and etc, just to let you know not all Myth gears are the BiS. You will get more greedy when you want the BiS items.
If all of the contents don't satisfy you, move on to a new game.

Simple as that. Contents not fulfilling your "hardcore" desires, just move on. Rather than whining on the forums and letting people troll you.

PS: you take it as no challenge might be due to there is existing walkthrough videos around, why not trying to not even watch the walkthrough and learn yourself. Then you know what is challenge.
If #1. Crafting and Gathering I don't mind as long as there is a reason for it (crafting this end game gear is better than the gear I have). I already spent 300k on the crafted jewelry in the market, and I know crafted gear is not better than Darklight/onion/wyrm/allagan.

If #2. Already helped primal hardmodes enough till I got the primal weapons. At what point does this become banging a head on a brick wall?

If #3. Guild officers is working on organizing a treasure hunt, but again this doesn't help me progress in any way. Currency in the game is completely useless (aside from clan housing which does not make any characters stronger).

If #4. Fixed. The only wyrm gear I want is body, legs, hands. Allagan head and feet. Hero jewelry (all obtained through myth). That is pretty much it.

Instead of "whinning" I'm asking for game ideas which clearly people are lacking.

if you really think that handling tedious logistics such as organizing 100+ people raid, and or stockpiling loads of pre-raid consumables (Brezs etc) and engaging in a 3-4 hr mindless boss fight makes you hardcore then im sorry this game is not for you.. nor would any current MMOs
I would agree with you, but so far I have not seen anything in this game requiring performance or skill. I have already said I accepted they will never make another game like the pre-WoW games. What I do expect from mmorpg's is offering character progression (more exp/levels, better gear, higher stat boost, higher skill levels, something that makes your main class stronger) that last more than 1 month without a mommy cap.

I sometimes long for classic Pandemonium Warden or Absolute Virtue fights, but I do not think we are going to get that challenging of content, since they are already talking of nerfing Pharus.

I can only laugh about the "there is not enough to do and things should be harder to make me special" people.

Reasons why there is not enough to do:

    - you are a student, don't have a job and/or family and therefore can play 8 hours 7 days a week 365 times a year
    - you are only looking to progress with your char and can't be bothered to help others
    - you have uber human reflexes (prolly from playing shooters) and learn the endgame fight mechanics very quickly

This is a MINORITY in the Game.

The majority (people with jobs and family and a Life besides Gaming who maybe have time to play 1-2 hours per day if that much at all) struggles with Titan, Coil, Ultima and all the Ex fights and for them, there is plenty to do but it is far on the Horizon if they will ever make it.

What do you think do they feel when they hear that new content will be available even harder than what they can't beat right now? Without knowing old content will be nerfed at some stage, a lot of them would lose Faith and stop playing. Call them casuals, call them bad players. They are still here and pay the bills for the Game. The 5% (made up number lol) die hard hardcore players in this Game are never satisfied. They always want things harder and harder and want to feel rewarded for investing insane hours of Game time and to claim "everything is easy doable". If any MMO would rely on the addicts who want to sit on thornes on a hot seat while they play, not a single MMO would exist longer than a few months. They will always seek the challenge and change the Game if they get bored.

I met a guy last week telling me he's on his 20th run in CT and that he doesn't like the rng as far as drops are concerned. I only thought "WTF 20 runs?, did you have time to take a shower or to eat something inbetween or were you on your PC/console 24/7". A CT run takes at least an hour if you include forming a party and queing time. Spending 20 hours per week for a single instance to get an item? LMAO. Of course he has more experience than I ever will but most of the time it's people like that telling me "things are easy".

You die hard fanatics get your uber hard content for over a quarter of Year and you can feel special and superior for quite a long time. If you feel less special because the majority of Gamers also would like to have armour that's not coming from the easy Myth grind feast it is your very own problem and I am glad that SE designs a Game for the majority of players and not for the minority. And don't forget, with 2.2 there will be new tomes available so I am sure the hardcore players will have new fancy weapons and armoury to feel better than the rest again. So don't worry about your e-peen + 1 quests, there will be something for you in 2.2 as well.

To some degree it actually is fair to compare based on current state of the game rather than where they were relatively in their lifespan.

The sad part is that ARR does have far more endgame than GW2. Roll Wars 2 doesn't even have raids.

I was thinking the same thing. But it's funny how these same people complaining about ARR are saying things like that. GW2 had content? Laugh. Maybe now it does but it definitely didn't at launch. That's not even counting the numerous bugs, bots, abuses, bots, server fails, bots, Claw of Jormag lagging horribly and almost as bad as Odin here - did I mention bots? But oh no, a year or two later, GW2 had a great launch! People don those rose-coloured glasses so quickly ...

That's why I'm not too worried about ARR just yet. Yes, this game has some big issues but as long as the devs hammer them out and if the game does well into the two or three year mark, people will conveniently forget how launch was and say ARR was a great game (XI anyone?).

Actually, I'm on Excalibur too, and there's not a single thing I didn't do in a PUG. It took me a week and a half to get it done with Titan HM, which is not that much considering I can only play 1/2 hours a day. Some PUGs were not that great, some others were close to do it but failed mostly because one guy told "ppl, u need to learn to dodge". Did T1(and T2, but that's not an achievement, with enrage mode) yesterday, for the first time, in a PUG. I know I'll try, and probably do the EX primals in a PUG, and if I have enough time and luck, I'll do Twintania with a PUG. "Ppl can't dodge" isn't an excuse not to join PUGs. "People don't have patience/need to learn to play together and accept other's failures" would be more of a reasonable excuse to me.

    i never understand these threads.
OP what purpose do you believe this serves?

-are you trying to get someone to change your mind to stay? i doubt it.
-are you trying to make people think like you and leave? if someone is going to quit this game, i highly doubt your thread was the tipping point to where they said. "you know this chap has a point, i'm out"
    -do you want attention? probably.
-do you want the devs to see your rage and change the game around your needs? lol

quit if you are so unhappy, but most of all...

Just because some people CAN go through the binding coil with a PuG doesn't mean EVERYONE can. The OP's copy+pasta says there's no challenge, but that person also refuses to do coil, which is currently the most challenging content in the game. Do coil, have Twintania and the Extreme Primals on farm (or, better yet, PuG farm), and THEN say there's no challenge left.
I pug Turns 1, 2 and 4 each week. Not 2 anymore as i have all the caster gear. And i get through each turn every week. Turn 5 groups on our server are a very rare sight.
