If there weren't any caps in the game, you'd probably be fully geared on all your classes and complaining about that.

The only ways for SE to prevent players from getting capped quickly is:

    - Keep adding new content faster than their playerbase can burn through it (pretty much unfeasible).
    - Caps on content (which you don't like).
    - Make gear take a very long time to get (which a lot of people don't like anyway).

He means removing use of duty finder. Causes so many trolls and haters to attack players from other servers.

I can completely see that point, I am yet to meet anyone who is trolling "abandon" or the "bad attituders"

Maybe im lucky but then again I think I have about 15 days ingame.

But .... Why is it so bad here ? many games i have played have a random dungeon option and I have never experienced anything like I read about this games version of it.

Duty finder is a random assortment of people from across many worlds.

People in this become your tool for progression. It breads trolls and people who are only thinking of themselves.

If I was to go into a party finder and cause massive wipes in Crystal tower. If I was to agree to greed only and then need something. What would happen?

Nothing because I probally do not even play with those people again.

Building a community requires you to play with people around you. Your server. IF you go into an instance without duty finder you should get a bonus. That means you make the party or use partyfinder. That will build the community. Your reputation means something, you build friends you can play with, and people begin to know each other. Duty Finder destroys all that for the sake of ease of use. The fact party finder is used more at endgame now is a good sign to me... devs need to take note.

It's because FFXI and FFXIV 1.0 didn't have anything like it. In those games you always did things with your linkshell, so there was no chance of having randoms ruining your day.

I always find it funny though, how having activities with strangers "destroys the community" but always doing stuff with the same people somehow builds communities.

You have to choose lack of content or content that is not instant rewards everytime. There is no middle ground. You cannot make new content quicker then people finish it.

    So what is worse.

Running out of content and being extremly bored and being forced to pay a sub. Basically paying to not be able to play

    OR

Having endless amount of stuff to do, but having to grind more and being forced to pay. Basically never running out of stuff to do, but it not being all fun and rewards.

Easy solution for the devs... Have some of both. stuff to make casuals happy and stuff to keep the no-lifers happy and paying long term. Win Win... Can even be 80% casual and 20% hardcore. And it will make the hardcores happy.

I must be to "old school" I quite enjoy the odds of placing 4-8 random people in a situation and saying:
" Right. There you go, one group, one path. Now work together, go clear it and bond. ..... Oh by the way you have 60 minutes"

Oh, I'm totally for having stuff that needs a lot of work to be achieved (currently the only thing close to that is raising gil to buy an L sized house). But I really don't think most players would like that considering that people managed to complain about Miner and Botanist taking too long to level to 50 when the game was released. They'd just whine about it constantly until the developers caved in and made stuff easier to obtain.
