No more myth please.I think patch 2.2 :
New Mytho : AF2 level 110.
Turn 6+ : level 110.
New boss trials : level 100.
CT (2.25 or 2.3) : level 100.
Philo tome exchange : level 90 (current mytho gear)
Philo crafted item : level 90 (new craft gear)
Hard mode dungeon : level 80
New dungeon : level 70
Can't finish =/= Can't win loot. Last week was the first time I ever won a coil drop. Won another this week, but yeah. Should being unlucky and not winning loot in content with weekly lockout stop you from having decent gear?

In that case only award new tokens from beating new coil turns.
Exactly this. It's designed so people aren't overgearing everything as soon as the level cap is raised. They want you to play for longer and make all the new content of an expansion/level cap raise relevant so they're essentially reseting everyone. When they raise the level cap you can expect the "trash WP/AK gear" to be better than what you got from the final coil turns of the lvl50 cap era and the highest tier gear to be close to or even beyond the ilvl 200 mark.Properly done the drops of an expansions first raid should be significant enough to be an upgrade. That's why "green is the new purple" became a way of life. You had to replace your prevous gear and run the race in the first raids again later. It keeps the playerbase at equal footing at the start of an expansion's raid content.
Anyway, in reponse to the OP complete resets like this are only really appropriate for big expansions and level cap raises, not for individual patches within that era of the game.

Do the words "power creep" mean anything to you at all? The reset always happens with the first raid at the new level cap. The gear dropped there is a step above the best gear dropped from the final raids in the previous tier. The dungeon stuff that the new players will be wearing from the new tier's 4-player content will be just a hair under whatever the old-guard raiders are wearing.
That's kind of the whole reason they call them tiers!
If the brand-spanking-new expansion content flat out requires you to farm Coil for weeks just to be geared enough to do it... you really didn't think this through, did you?
So yeah I quickly started to read and ... LMAO YOU SILLY GOOSE
The people clamoring for new stuff to kill are like less than 5% of the actual people at end game. Sure Twin has been killed more and more at the moment but I'd like to know how many unique kills there are total. I know my FC has 5 groups killing Twin weekly for a couple months now but of the servers out there there's maybe 3-5 FC's per server capable of accomplishing it? A good question is how many more kills are going to flood the average casual player to complete it in the first 3 months of 2.2 depending on whether or not there are any adjustments made to the fight in 2.2 to bring it up to the level to allow more players to see beyond the terror of Turn 5?
Only if crafters get recipes for ilevel 80-85 gearThis suggestion would result in extreme power creep. No thank you. Coil Turns 6 through 10 should be dropping i95 and/or i100 gear, with the next addition to CT dropping i85 and/or i90 gear.
I'd appreciate, however, Pharos Sirius dropping i70 gear with different stats and appearance than darklight, and the new 2.2 dungeons dropping more i70 gear of the same vein.

do you know any full team that went to coil with fullAK gear and garuda weapon? because that's what you're asking a 30lvlgap between gear and content.
