2.15 Patch discussion

Didn't one of their PvP changes already hit PvE before? Specifically stuns. I remember running Ifrit HM before the 2.1 patch and the paladins never had any problems stunning the hell out of him whenever needed. After the patch, the paladins had to start saying "He's going to resist" even though they were the only ones using stuns.

Stunning was kinda broke before 2.1...you really shouldn't have been able to stun almost all the Eruptions in HM. Bred lazy ranged which in turn made them bad at dodging plumes in Titan...

I'm beyond pissed about the nerf on Thornmarch. I haven't even had a chance to TRY the thing yet. I mean COME ON! you release a patch. It's during the holidays some have time to play and there's nothing wrong with that. But me? I was visiting family for 2 weeks. Come back happy as a clam to try out this new patch... but... I'm already seeing this content getting nerfed? I might not have a ton of time on my hands but I'm not some g*d d*mn farmville convert. I LIKE challenges. I LIKE seeing the freakin' content I'm paying for before it gets nerfed to the freaking GROUND. I'm mean christ it's been only 4 weeks since 2.1 released and the content is already receiving nerfs? *flips monitor*

Why are ppl so mad about this game being so easy? I dont get it, don't ppl want everything to be like "The MMO that shall not be named" Cause that MMO makes everything so easy that a new born can beat it. And u do it in this game cause ppl all go crazy saying they want it and than when SE does it everyone screams its to easy that a new born can beat it.

Unrelated, but funny thing about your signature - I recall lots of people disagreeing with that kind of statement during P2 beta since "it was perfect."

It's not so much that people are "mad" about, it's the fact it's been recent trend for MMOs to be faceroll easy and they all end up flopping within a 3 months - a year after launch or end up moving to F2P/B2W in order to ...actually be worth it. Lots of people are just tired of devs falling back rather than moving forward, especially when SE has shown they have the creativity and talent to push genres forward. (Both Square and Enix.) Take XI for example, it was an "EQ Clone" yet you never sat there thinking: "Meh, EQ..if I wanted to play EQ I'd play EQ"...you pretty much thought: "This actually feels like a FF game" because Square was creative enough to actually do something different than just "stick with what works."

So it's not really about "being mad" it's more like "why?"

The difficulty of Thornmarch has been decreased. lmao really?! it was already 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000x easier than 1.0, now its even easier? jesus how easy do you people want this game.

They've already said, repeatedly, that when new content is being added they'll reduce the difficulty on previous content to allow people to catch up. This will be the norm.

Personally, I logged on this morning and changed to MNR and was immediately happy to see my GP didn't have to regen from 0 as it previously would. That is awesome. Very happy about that.
