    and here it is ladies and gentlemen. the qq about oh no my class at this point sucks so please destroy all the others. it should sound more like my class is missing this or needs that to make it better, but nah it's easier to cry. the other classes need to be made more fun to play not make the only 2 fun classes less fun. the point should be how do they make it more fun for gladiators to make them more viable.

    to me the gladiator is not fun, but i only have it to 32 so i can't really speak too much on it. a few things could make it alot more fun and viable in the upcoming fixes that should solve the majority of them in my own opinion.

    1. make the attacks the gladiator uses actually hit once in a while. the accuracy is horrid to me. it is run up to a mob miss, miss, miss, omg i hit something, miss(damn here we go again)

    2. make the stats the gladiator uses actually matter. it is easier to go from a mage to a mele then the other way around mainly because the mage stats just matter more.

    3. allow the mobs to actually be tough enough that a class with high hit points actually has to tank.

    4. make the tank not only for holding hate, but make them a viable member to assist in combat.

    these are a few things i feel should be added to make gladiator more fun. i see arc and thm should have some of it's power taken off, but it would make the game more enjoyable for everyone if they made the underpowered classes more inline.

    Take a step back and realize you're talking about a person with a bow and arrow, a RANGED weapon with a ton of dmg potential, also sitting there in front of NMs and taking all their damage. You constantly say the game is "ezmode" but you want me to list things I want to make other classes even more powerful... for what? The problem isn't the classes, it's the stats. If you want me to say I want glads to have fire breath and a shotgun inside the shield there's something wrong, because gladiators can do their job already, they just can't do every other job on the field, as it should be. Or to put it in the running theme, here's the "I don't understand the topic whatsoever, but here's a lengthy post on something unrelated." If "to me the gladiator is not fun", then me no play gladiator. Did you say that holding hate isn't assisting in combat?

    If all classes could do the same things, then whats the point of having classes. Some classes can do certain things better than others and each class is useful in different ways for different things.

    on the topic of the OP, pretty sure thaum was a mage designed to be able to tank, though probably only certain types of mobs, this may change, but i think by their skill lists, they expected that thaum might tank. hence the shields, emulate, absorb defense, stygian spikes, punish barbs, etc.

    We can look at the orginal-orginal party layout. Tank in the front, melees on the side, thm on the rear, conj in the middle and archer in the back.

    That should be there where their relative tanking power should be.

    It's ironic how that's reverse right now, good ole armoury system...broken to hypocriticy.

    I'd have to agree with this. I don't know if I'd call it a "nerf" to make the stats actually work properly so that an ARC is best utilized as a ranged DD instead of something that can tank. I have no problem with whatever class doing big damage, I just want a chance to keep hate against that and be a damage sink like a tank is intended to. I find no fun in turning my class into a melee DD/tank class when obviously when I chose GLA I did it because I like to optimize defense and hate management. The idea of ability swapping isn't to completely undermine what a class does, just to optimize your class to however you like to play its style. I realize that being an optimal tank may not make any difference in play with the current cake content, but I'd like to hope that with battle revamps and future content, skillful and strategic play will be the focus, and an ARC will want to be a ranged DoW who can do as much damage as they can to contribute, not some sort of self-healing melee tank who does big damage. It works, and you can use it, I don't care, but saying it's intended is just ridiculous.
