I think this comes down to your likes versus the person playing their character.I am in 2 minds about equipment fashion slots. Personally I like to see tanks in tin cans, mages in robes and coatees and DPS in whatever gear reflects their class. Fashion slots would encourage endgame tanks to play in Weathered gear and egg helms, and as funny as it might be to start with, it would quickly get annoying, and start to feel like everyone is just trying to look as silly as possible. I am not an RPer, but this would be a little too far out of immersion for my liking.
Just my 2c though, im sure Peregrine will swoop in and have a sheetstorm at me in 5 about how this opinion supports botting and also advertises my want to eat babies or something.
I personally don't like the look of Haubs and "tin can" gear even on classes that should be in it full time. I've always preferred the Leather bikini style of warriors like Red Sonya.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
The only issue I see here is that with the proposed system, the quoted ideology, and implementation of auto-attack... we are getting dangerously close to "fap fap fap" during grind parties and I really don't want to have to worry about what the other guy is doing with his hands while he should be helping me kill stuff lol
Otherwise I think this is a great idea for the fashionistas of FFXIV.
