its in section 2.5,The thing is, the GM's would have to be given a list of legal vs illegal in the game, 3rd party apps or there is still the possibility of generalizing all 3rd party apps as TOS violations.
It is not impossible to imagine that maybe the GM did not get an opportunity to read the forum post where the dev ok'd the app. Perhaps there is no central list of ok vs not ok apps for the GM's to reference. If there is not a central list or way to identify the trademark of which app the player is using, I would guess that it is cumbersome to determine which ones are ok and which are not and the TOS does not say that there are any 3rd party apps cleared for use.
Maybe the only way to work this out and prevent ok app from being confused with not ok app is to ban all apps outright. If they are supposed to follow the TOS, GM was just doing his job.no where they say its OK to use which means it not ok.2.5 Data Mining. You may not intercept, mine or otherwise collect information from the Game using unauthorized third party software.

Isn't FFXIV-APP officially sanctioned by SE? According the the Reddit posts the developers are in contact with a representative. Zam certainly wouldn't support a tool if it wasn't sanctioned by SE.
Having said that all I use it for is the translate feature, it's pretty handy.
I think this was the whole point, the reason of the warning and I must say I agree to this, it is rather leading to malicious attitude when we use parsers to penalize other people's capabilities and thus encouraging them to use the 3rd -party application to also use it against other players which leads to a chain of neverending offense.
The parsers don't lead to malicious attitudes and don't have a negative impact on people and how they play. Terrible players will be terrible, and malicious players will be malicious regardless of them using a parser or not.I think this was the whole point, the reason of the warning and I must say I agree to this, it is rather leading to malicious attitude when we use parsers to penalize other people's capabilities and thus encouraging them to use the 3rd -party application to also use it against other players which leads to a chain of neverending offense.
That said, it is neither a malicious nor elitist act to tell somebody that their dps is bad, especially when that same bad dps was just trash talking the entire group.
Honestly the actual message sent to the helpdesk from the bad MNK would probably give us a lot more insight about this. He probably reported abuse, and noted that the player was parsing his DPS. The first bit is probably what's caused the trouble. Clearly he hasn't reacted well to being told his DPS is bad. Overreaction and heavy handedness on the part of the GM though, almost certainly.

that means dont blame ZAM when you get banned
You don't need a parser to call someone out for being bad. Especially when they were talking trash before the group even started the encounter. Semantics on behalf of this GM.
That's beside the point, ZAM wouldn't support it if it gets players banned. I think it's been well established by the team there (with SE's interaction) that FFXIV-APP does not interact with the game client in a way that's against the ToS.6. Your use of the Services is provided to you at your own risk.
