I'm actually fine with people that prefer to learn by doing. You just have a different playstyle and you want something different out of the game (you want to "solve" the boss on your own, that's what's fun for you). Just make sure to say something instead of going into instances and dying to everything and killing things you're not supposed to be killing, because people do that way too often. It's not hard to write one line of "I don't know this fight, please explain", because I'm happy to do that as long as you didn't knowingly join a group labeled "farm runs".

This is why people that know what they're doing end up sticking to their little FC bubble instead of bothering to help people out, because you're not willing to be helped.

Let's say you studied Titan EX and watched all the videos and still failed horribly over and over, would that still be cheating?

Healers are even easier, just stand around and heal. This fight however, does really show the difference between a good and bad though.

This just happened to me in DF group for EX guaruda. I watched the video like 3 times. I wanted some actual in-game experience and figured a DF group wouldn't be looking for experts. I even asked for tips and told everyone I was new. I got accused on buying my char since I didn't have Defiance on. OMG I forgot defiance! I must have bought my char! :O Then I got vote-kicked cause the healers died while fighting plumes. I guess that was my fault somehow. Getting real sick of your shit, XIV Community.

but it is the nature of it... the only way it could work the way JP severs expect it to work is if there would be some sort of ladder ranking and it matches you with player of similar skill level (gain points based on what you clear or something)

It works because jp peeps don't want to be deadweight. While i haven't really done a lot of primals using DF. I don't think i've had a single messy/fail dungeon run with jp peeps.

everyone knows DF is for practise what the heck lol..

we tell new FC members to end game practise titan HM in DF then we will help you (so its not a complete carry) but theres no way we would say "practise in PF parties before trying DF" lol

It's fun how some keeps suggesting DF as a training area, when every single DF party on titan ex / ifrit ex leave at 1st wipe (2nd if lucky lol) , and the best you get is a group of douchebags

Hit the nail right on the head. I'm sorry Alistaire but your mentality is what leads to games being too easy.

Why? Because you handicap every player that way. Rendering them incapable to act on the fly. This new generation of MMO players is disturbing to say the least, simply because everyone has to watch a video to beat content.
