@ the OP to me it seems like SE hates Crafting as they are not trying to do anything to help. Did you read what Hvinire said? So they think that when more players get housing the "Furniture" market will pick up. Are you kidding me I have bought or made every housing Furniture except for some of the Extreme HQ stuff and didn't spend more than 150k. Its a joke if players plan on getting a FC house or own personal house buy the Materials or the Completed pieces now. I don't think there will be a market for Furniture until Personal Housing.
As for this, I made a post about Abjurations It takes Crafting, Gathering, and Endgame content and brings them together to make gear that would be some BIS. I say in the post they could alternate ABJ's with CoB/CT patches so they wouldn't always have to be BIS.Yoshi did say that crafted great will not be better than raid gear. His reasoning is because he does not want people to stick to created gear in lieu of dungeon running.
However, I believe this point was misconstrued by many. No one gear set is BiS. To get BiS, you need a mix of Allagan, Myth, and XM gear. I think eventually a few crafting pieces will end up as BiS.

Nope have never once seen anyone sell coil runs, I have seen primal runs, but that doesnt really count because primal loot is horizontal to Myth and Coil loot. Other than that my first post specifically says "Crafting top tier gear" nothing else rmt related. Even then, what do you spend an absurd amount of gil on in this game? Repair bills, lol yeah you need an RMT for that one. Inb4 housing
100% on abjurations gear. It should be horizontal though IMO or offer different stats and will include all types of players. As for this, I made a post about Abjurations It takes Crafting, Gathering, and Endgame content and brings them together to make gear that would be some BIS. i just hope that they don't make abjurations insanely low drop rates like they were in ffxi. even if the drop rate was 20%, when u factored in the spawn time, the claim, and then the drop, odds of getting one were veeeery low at the onset.
Because of the vertical progression ideal that's popular thanks to the carrot effect it brings, XI used to do this also but it was to a way lesser amount to the point where you didn't have to replace anything if you didn't want to(changed when they decided to follow the "modern" route) , XIV (1.0-23) also followed XI but that changed thanks to ARR (-_-), GW2 did the same as XI/XIV but to a larger amount (everything was cosmetic when you were geared) but that changed thanks to idiots who wanted more carrots, so they went towards more vertical progression (Ascended BS)
I don't find replacing gear almost every month when a patch hits fun, but that's just me, only reason i'm still here is pure loyalty to my character from 1.0
The funny thing is that crafted gear IS ALREADY the best entry level gear. Yet only casters use their Vanya. I'm starting to think we're the problem.
What people allude to:

Player
Crafting players will always be treated as third rate, toss aside players because most developers refuse to acknowledge that they are any significant percentage of the player base. This is a complete and utterly horrible lack of forth site as they continue to cater to the McPlayers that aren't going to stay with their game anyway as soon as they feel they have burned through all the content. So 90% of the focus is on placating a player base that won't stick around to pay subs anyway.
