Wat you miss when abandoning leves

You can play VERY casually and still easily get to rank 50 in under 2 months without intentionally failing a single leve, so I don't see why this needs to be in the game at all. The game's been out for 8 months so you could have at least 4 rank 50s by now without much effort or abuse. Are people suggesting that casual players NEED to have more than 4 rank 50s by now? Is 2 months too long to get to max rank for new players? I really don't get it, I guess.

Playing how they want and purposely FAILING objectives should never, ever go hand in hand. Seriously, how can anyone think this system is not broken??? You are encouraged to fail, it's that simple.

IMO they have 2 options. Fix the fails from DCing and do not allow repeated attemps or severely reduce sp gain from repeated attempts. No game should encourage you to fail, ever.

This is just the exact same response that's trotted out any time someone wants to defend botting or AFK leveling as well.

ah, but theres a difference between ILLEGAL play and whats being discussed here

what is happening in this thread is people complaining about something that is 100% legal, and declared so by SE

botting and afk leveling are both 100% ILLEGAL as per the TOS and are bannable

AFK leveling isn't illegal. SE has already said that auto-follow doesn't constitute absentee play. Botting is obviously against the rules, not that anyone actually gets banned for it.

Again no ornamental words, double talk or bizzare claims of "You're taking away my rights to play da wayz I wants" changes the bottom line: You're being rewarded for failure.

undoubtedly you didn't read the se response to failing the leves. they actally stated they made it 36 hours because of people disconnecting and abandoning leves so they made it to where they could not repeat them immediately. in other words they knew exactly what they were doing and said it is fine as long as you wait until the next reset to run the same leves again. do your own research and show that they have said they did not know. it has been posted in these forums many times the responses to this and people are not going to research for you again.

no words you can say will change the fact it is accepted by se and is ok to do so. if someone wants to level within the rules then it is none of your business.

Wow, THIS is what people have been referencing? This is pre-live, while nobody even abused leves like this until several months after this, following massive changes to the SP systems and to leve-link bonuses. We're not even saying that this is against the ToS though. Even AFK leveling isn't actually against the ToS, however much most of us here would like it to be. There's simply zero difference between AFK leveling and abusing leve fails. Both are clearly not how the developers want the game to work and are results of flaws in the game mechanics. When you get people saying one is a-ok while the other is evil and cheating, it's pretty obvious they're hypocrites.
