Hope you all don't mind me plucking these sentences, they truly stood out to me. I agree with all of your posts and I hope anyone coming in late will go back to page 42 and take a read.

duh! FFXIV......:P jk of course. What you wrote got me thinking:Which would you rather play?
I don't think they'll ever get rid of the mini map but I personally don't mind it I hardly notice myself using it, if I even use it at all, I honestly don't remember it might be an unconscious thing but either way I was thinking I kind of dislike how all mobs are marked agro/non-agro. I think its good for the low level zones, you know while people are learning the ropes but I think for the higher rank zones they should keep the mystery in it and allow us to find out for ourselves. Although this isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things because eventually we will all know what agros and what doesn't, it still adds a little feeling of danger the first time you reach a new zone. Aside from this, is it only me or was there more emphasis placed on agro in FFXI? such as mobs that agro'd magic, mobs that agro'd sound, mobs that agro'd by vision...I think all mobs in XIV agro by vision am I wrong? I think mob behavior is important to just throw to the back shelf so I hope they have something nice planned in this regard. There is no sense of danger or exhilaration and there is nothing to explore because the minimap will spot anything and everything before I can see it with my character.
At the time before this post there was 13,541 views, 427 replies, and only 188 likes for the OP. Post could have like at least 400. lol, Still keeping my fingers crossed that the reps take notice soon.

Let's try to get through the weekend, everyone! Hopefully soon, we'll be acknowledged. The army of support behind this thread cannot go unnoticed. There are even crowned threads without as many followers after they've been visited by reps.
Thanks every one, for standing up for the game and what this world, Eorzea, can be.
I won't let us be unheard.

This is the first thread I've felt strongly enough about to post in, and although I don't have anything significant to add, I do want to say it is nice to 400+ posts in this thread with no major arguments or derails. After reading the OP I was a little disheartened, but after seeing so many positive responses and plausible suggestions (read the whole thread), I am certainly more optimistic that something can/will be done. I am looking forward to the official response to the outcry. Maybe they are taking the weekend to form a carefully considered response? I just hope we don't get the usual, "We have plans to address this, please look for more information in the future", blanket-response we have grown accustomed to.
Although there is a lot of merit to this thread and the suggestions therein, at some point you have to ask if a linear approach to "adventure" is the best approach.
