You've made 0 compelling arguments about why the advancements FFXIV have made, the features it's borrowed, the designs its emulated, and the things its iterated are a bad thing. Who cares if it was inspired by another game? Every game, artist, writer, filmmaker or creative type is INSPIRED by others. It isn't what they drew from, its how they brought their flavor to it that makes their work unique and valuable. Square, Yoshi.P, and the entire team has done a fantastic job of iterating in so many of the right ways, while staying true to FF.

If the in-game treadmill isnt tedious enough for you, if leveling is too quick, if gear is acquired too easily, maybe this isnt the game for you? FFXI is still live. Eve is live. A lot of korean and chinese MMOs require the kind of dedication you allude to. Maybe you and FFXIV just need to break up?
