Wat you miss when abandoning leves

By higher he means astronomically higher SP. Secondly I agree 100% but lets be honest, people abuse this avenue like you wouldn't believe. Hell, there is an LS on my server that religiously does this churning out people with 50 jobs who don't know how to play them. Again, the leve fail absurdity needs to be taken out of the game.

hmmm astronomically higher? let's see if you run the same leve twice and a mob gives 100 sp per kill you get 100 sp for the first run and 100 for the second run for 200 total. if you run it linked with another you get 100 + 60, but have no second run. by linking you actually lose sp overall, but it makes running leves more time efficient than running 64 individual leves with an 8 person party.

horn and hand leves seem like a pretty good way to build up guild marks.

not if you fail all your leves. even if you run the "big 6" and run 2 others that is gaining guild marks at 1/4 of the time as others so, yes, you are giving them up. this was about the failing leves and what do you give up. if you have guild marks on a leve and fail it then you do not get them.

i guess as a mage not having the faction points to get my harley gear is a pretty big deal. you also give up your guild marks so you take tons longer to get the nice skills that are actually bought. i mean it's up to the individual, but what i give up with a 50 class is alot. i can go spend 5mil on the hat, 12 mil on the pants, and 15 mil on the acton if i want, but that is a 32 million gl tradeoff.

IDK if this will help but, I do the same thing and everyone I know that has finished the leves and has done factions (myself included) have concluded that DD's gear (Templars, buccs) is pretty mediocre.. I can buy gear that is better than it.

very low population server atm. we lost 99% of our playerbase between november and january. i have a few friends with other characters on other servers as well as this one and they talk about the price difference between them. i just have too much time invested in my character to leave and go to another server with a higher population.

Love abandoning leves. Going with a group of 4, do the same 4 R40 leves, get ~70ksp in under and hour. Sure beats wasting 2-3hrs on normal leve runs.

Also, spare me the 'monotony' argument. Since most leves have the same mobs and same concepts leves by default are monotonous.

Its also good to hear that SE is ok with abandoning leves.

I've failed my leves 2 times, 3 maximum, and that's because I'm too proud of me, and I want my Faction Points =)

It's not astronomically higher. Without failing you usually get 45-70k sp a rotation. With failing it's usually 65-80. It skews the average up by about 17k sp a week, ignoring surplus which failing leves pushes you into. There's an automatic buffer. Youll still hit surplus if you don't fail leves, and if you hit surplus, I just suggest not insisting on pushing that 30% sp loss higher.

My guess is that faction gear is going to be heavily materia'able. It has insanely large requirements, rarely is won with those requirements, is rank 50, and requires multiple people.

Right now the faction gear is lol. I don't think it will be like that for much longer.

this is the key. it's the i am too good for it, therefore, you are trash for doing it people that have the problem. if they do not wish to do it they do not have to, but since the game developer itself said it is ok then i will continue to do it no matter what they say.

going and grinding raptors give too much sp go grind marmots to 50. you will get 1 sp a kill, but hey more sp is a bad thing in some minds. this is about the logic that is being used by some on here.

you don't miss anything important because you can always just complete that leve next time you have doubles.

not to mention people are really raging over it being just 10-15k more sp an hour, once every 36 hours(seriously, you can do once every 36 hours)
and it really is only 10-15k more sp then doing it without the abandon method
