Really , I been farming accessories for materia since launch. And Based on my experience, what you get is all random, with some exceptions, Exceptions being DoW(STR,DEX, skill speed) stats only come from DoW gear(STR, DEX,skill speed) same with DoM(INT, MND, speel speed). Secondary stats materia can be gotten off anythingAs a gsm who has made multiple sets of jewelry for classes, I can say with 99% certainty that you will most often get a materia related to the stats of the item. Lots of parry and vitality from tank jewelry, lots of str and skill speed from dps, mind/pie/spell speed for healer. Occasionally get something weird, but for the most part you're going to get that type of materia.
It can't be much. Sometimes, I equip the crag bow (+16 earth resistance) while fighting Titan and I don't seem to notice taking any less damage from stomps.

That's exactly what I said? There is randomness, yes, but "most often" you will get materia that's in the base item. Jewelry is an easy example because most of the ones throughout leveling only have 2 base stats. Melee DPS is Str and SkSp, most of the time it will convert into Str or SkSp, sometimes you get stuck with elemental or accuracy or determination. I imagine that melding other materia on to it, or converting an item with 5 or 6 different stats, is going to increase randomness considerably.Really , I been farming accessories for materia since launch. I strongly doubt that materia melded to an item affects the result when you Convert the item. It only increases the speed at which the item gets to 100% Spirit Bond.

Considering how often I meld junk materia like random Rank 1 combat materia or resistance materia to my crafting accessories when spiritbonding/murdering Water Sprites, I'm tempted to agree. I've yet to see anything but +CP/Craftsmanship/Control pop out of them. Assuming the materia melded to an item actually had an effect on what it converts into and considering the amount of items I've converted so far, I'm sure I must've gotten at least one oddball materia so far, yet I haven't.
That said, anything I say should be taken with a grain of salt. After all, I haven't kept proper track of what piece of equipment has converted into what materia.![]()

I've spiritbonded at least 50 different Turquoise accessories over the last 4 days. They give Mind and Spell Speed as base stats.
The common ones I get from breaking it, outside of elemental materias, are Mind, Piety, Quicktongue, Savage Aim, Savage Might, and Vitality. I will say that out of those 6, the most common ones I got were Mind and Piety, followed by Vitality, Savage Aim, Quicktongue, and then Savage Might.
When I burn my current supply of Turquoise, and move onto a different set of accessories (most likely Amber, since the immediate stats benefit tank), I will try and keep a proper record of what I get per set.

I know there is randomness but I dont understand why now after 2.1 Im getting DoW materia from high lvl crafting accessories did they change, because got 2 Strength 3 from a pair of Aetheryte Rings
Aetheryte has never been counted as crafting accessories. You could get any materias from it. This was in 2.0 too.

I didn't realize other classes use CP.. Lol
For real, that's strange.. What about the militia bracelets for GP/CP? Do you know if those convert to crafting materia?
