Please make the excellent Party Finder feature more obvious

Putting Party Finder in the Social tab would be good , it's a lot easier to press "O" than clicking on the bottom bar to open the finder :/.

Party Finder sure has come a long way. I remember back in the first launch of FFXIV, the party finder (just called "Party" in the menu back then with a recruit and search function) was the only way to form a party with people without having them stand next to you and included similar functions to today's party finder where you could put a short message, type of content and specify class ranks you want to recruit for the the party. Everyone hated it back then. Maybe it was the clunky UI or maybe it was that no one knew how to use it effectively. Here's a video of what it was like: http://youtu.be/soOp-7DCmBs

Today's Party Finder is much more simple and it seems people actually use it often. I definitely agree that it needs some publicity so that it won't just be an obscure feature that rarely anyone uses like the old version.

Also, they should alter it to show it to everybody who has that class leveled, instead of just show it for people who are currently using that class.

For example, I' m waiting someone to use party finder for titan EX so that I can join it with my main class as a healer, but then I got nothing to do on healer while I m waiting, so I decide to leveling on my sub-class while I m waiting. I will not be able to see any of those party finder that recruit white mage, but not recruiting the class I m currently leveling on the wait.

After creating a Party Criteria in the Party Finder, we are not able to also invite players on our own.
It would help to be able to invite players for FATE parties while making a Party Finder.
Is this a bug?

It's just as easy to go to the Party Finder and add themselves to the party as it would be to invite the player(s). I don't think this is a bug, there is just really no need to invite people to a party created for people to freely join. It's just hard to wrap our head around not being able to invite player when we have been conditioned to forever.

Yeah if anything it's easier for folks to join a fate instead of shouting having to look for one even though you still may have to resort to shouting.

They should add "Party Tags" where you can tag or set an alert for multiple dungeons. And if someone put one up in part finder it will alert you that one of the tags you set has been started.

I'm maybe missing it, but I thought the features of the party finder where also going to be implemented in the Duty Finder. This way if you're doing cross-world parties, you will know if they are trying to do speed runs still, forcing newbies to skip cutscenes, etc... Why isn't this implemented as well? I couldn't find any options to it when using Duty Finder, so how does this fix the actual DF issues?

Really loving the party finder. Lots of people using it on my server. I do wish it had its own hotkey or put it under "O" default like people have said. Make it easy on top of the tank/DD/heal slot to see what kind of party makeup there is. I keep getting parties with 3/4 DD as BRDs. If people easily saw before joining what was there, they might go for a party that is more balanced in jobs.

On Hyperion, our FC uses it ALL the time. I think it's an amazing tool. I was able to get a Coil group last night and beat turns 1 and 2. I use it for Ultiomat HM farming, and Garuda HM learning. I use it for WP speed runs, Treasure hunt parties (BYOM - Bring your own map), Fates and even low level dungeons for Vanity gear coming in 2.2.

All in all, it is an amazing feature that should be considered one of the best, if not best additions to the game. CT/Pharos and Extreme Primals will lose their luster, but the Party finder will continue to shine ^^/.
