Please make the excellent Party Finder feature more obvious

I agree it does seem more people need to know about it. Since it is a new feature give it some time though. Word of mouth by the players telling people in their FC's or linkshells are probably the best way to get more people to use the feature. I have also seen people shout in highly populated areas to use the party finder to join so word IS getting out about it...it just may take a while for players to get used to it. Some people are probably also slightly nervous about using it for the first time.

I do agree it would be better suited in the Duty Tab vs. the social tab though. More people open that tab vs. the social tab while logged in. Seeing Party Finder right under Duty Finder would probably be a lot easier to notice. I think in a month or so when more people are hearing about it more often then they will use it.

Its usage seems to have increased a lot. Most parties in Rev Troll are followed by "look at PF". I've met a couple different groups of people I've never played with before prior to the patch by joining these types of parties and I think it's a great way to build better intra-server relationships.

Yeah I thought it would help the shout issues too..except....people shout to advertise that they're seeking members in the party finder anyway. There should be some way...some kind of notification in the micro menu (or somewhere on the screen...maybe near the map or mail icons) that let's you know that there are parties looking for members in the Party Finder.

OR...like some have said...include it in the Duty Finder. Maybe some number next to, say, "Bowl of Embers (Extreme)" that indicates THIS many people have a party LFM in the party finder for this trial! So then you click that icon or number and then it brings you straight to the Party Finder, and then filters the entries to just those that are looking to do Bowl of Embers (Extreme)

That's how I would think it'd be more effective.

As for those things that aren't in the duty finder though...I guess that would stick with my first idea.

Now if only theyd make it against the rules to misuse it (see: ~half of the groups made on it, currently: afk groups, advertising crafting/fc's)

It's pretty heavilly used on the Japanese servers often see 5-10 parties depending on the time of day.
