Please make the excellent Party Finder feature more obvious

I have to say, since making this topic, I have been noticing a lot more listings on the Party Finder lately, so that's good. I still think the devs should do something to make it widely known to all players. They should at least:

-make it have it's own hotkey to easily pull it up (I have the icon set to one of my hotbars, but hitting a hotkey on my keyboard would be better)
-maybe make some sort of early quest to introduce new players to it.
-make some sort of auto log-in notification appear to all players just once, to notify them of the feature.

Any other ideas?

This is a great feature. Set parameters for exactly the type of party you want to create, and wait for people to join. Or, browse all the available parties and simply join one you want. This can completely replace people shouting nonstop in places like Mor Dhona.

Unfortunately, there's usually only a few parties ever listed in Party Finder, as I'm guessing no one knows about it. The Active Help tooltip for it only pops up when you actually find and open the feature, which is hidden in the Social menu. SE, please either implement this as part of the Duty Finder (maybe as a separate tab in the duty finder?), or at least make the Active Help tooltip open immediately upon login for every person (only once, of course). More people need to know about this feature!

You do realize you can open the Keybinds menu and set your own hotkey, right?

I agree that it should have a default hotkey, but saying you wish it had one and then just putting it on your hotbar rather than making one strikes me as a bit odd.

I'm pretty glad my server now exclusively uses Party Finder for its pugging. Nobody just shouts anymore.
They do should to advertise their party finder slot though.
Shouting stuff like "LFM Titan HM, check Party Finder" is really what made it popular. I'm sure a lot of other servers are the same.

I also approve of the various requirements you can put in. But sometimes they don't seem to work....

Having PF show up on the Recommended list that (used to?) pops up when you login would probably go a long way.

On Cactuar at least, there's usually about 10+ parties at primetime.
Usually about 2 - 4 during offtime though, for the first week or so it was consistently only me and like 1 other person who used it- I made sure to tell everyone about it.

Additionally, I'd like to add: the party finder is a much better social situation than the duty finder. I have found that parties that form using PF communicate and coordinate much better, and tend to have a better sense of camaraderie. The PF is a way to find new friends that you can actually play with again (unlike the duty finder that often pairs you with people from different servers). In short, I hope that FFXIV's social tools move more in the direction of the party finder for getting folks together for content, and away from the duty finder for all but the easiest content.

On Diabolos, the Party Finder is used all the time. I was able to quickly get a group together yesterday for both Chimera and Hydra using it. It's an awesome feature and honestly, if players use it and then advertise it in shouts, it will continue to catch on.
