Depending on your PC and the current state of your lag, the red circles of doom that love to pop up on this game that provide this illusion of challenge can be next to impossible to dodge sometimes. It has nothing to do with their intelligence. Eye-Hand coordination is not a measure of intelligence anyway.

Generally I don't understand why gamers of today love these types of mechanics. I rather not watch the floor when I am in a fight. I would rather concentrate on playing my actual character and using my abilities. But seems I'm in the minority on this, and people love dodging deadly shapes on the ground. I don't know why.

I very much doubt that people suddenly lose their ability to dodge nasties aimed at them by the time they reach Titan Hard, it's just that Ifrit and Garuda are by Titan's standards quite... Ahem, carryable. So the people who quite frankly never deserved to get past the first two Hard Primals are being carried by tanks and Meteors aplenty right into Titan's unforgiving bosom.

I mean, it's pretty amazing seeing Ifrit Hard after 2.1 now that every single Eruption can't be stunned. What was easily farmed back then now has as much of a success rate as Garuda through the Duty Finder (in my experience, at least). No guaranteed Meteor for the Infernal Nails reveals how poor the average DPS is and and a few Eruptions going through means half the group dying.

Have to agree with Ifrit. I did Ifrit HM for the first time since 2.1 today and it was amazing how many people couldn't dodge the eruptions in DF. Though Garuda is probably easier than Ifrit. Garuda doesn't really have anything to dodge that is remotely difficult. I don't even think there's anything that can't be dodged with lag. This fight pretty much comes down to tanks being able to do their jobs, which aren't really hard (especially since 2.1 update to tanks).

As for this thread, there are many reasons people fail at Titan. A lot of people farm both Ifrit and Garuda, so finding a good party with the DF is extremely easy and they get carried because of this. I hate using Meteor on Nails on Ifrit but I get forced to because our DPS in DF usually suck. There's also the fact that no one farms Titan in DF, they only farm him in pre-made parties.

There's also lag, which I've seen countless times. There are videos of people getting knocked off while they were clearly out of Landslide before I even bother getting out.

The biggest issue, however, is that no fight prepares them for Titan HM. Ifrit and Garuda may have strict patterns, but the skills are much more spaced out and very easy to avoid. There is much less to remember, too. Not everyone can remember all 5 phases completely and the ones that can might not have fought him enough to memories them. The only reason I never get hit in Titan HM is because the patterns are ingrained in my brain. I could probably recite them when I'm outside playing basketball...

Not to mention not everyone was born with a brain like everyone else's. I, for one, was born with Autism and my main issue is memory (I remember the majority of stuff in MMO's I play but I often forget my own date of birth and my Mum's real name...)

There's also the fact that not everyone is a "good gamer". There are plenty of casual gamers who can easily get that far, only to be to slow to respond. Not everyone can multi-task in games because they don't play games enough. Just because you can do it doesn't mean everyone can. There are people who can't even get to Titan.

As for being in range for Medica, I had no idea what Medica's range was until I had ran Titan HM a few times. Knowing its range was never needed before Titan HM.

Not everything is the players fault.

Here's a link to a bunch of rotation and DPS numbers I wrote up to try help BLM see they aren't as weak as they might think.

There's no single one thing that's hard to do, it's when you're doing them all at once that the fight becomes more of a dance.

People just need to learn the steps.

My question would be why do you assume the encounter looks the same to you as to those you are calling "dumb"?

    edit: missed a preposition

This move is actually easily avoidable. You just bait the landslide by standing on a corner bomb then move to either side once you see where he's placing landslide. As a caster you can move out of all wotl by activating sprint during every bomb phase. It will still be active for wotl. If you are caught in the middle of a large area you will have plenty of time to move out.
