    "Complain" has a very negative connotation. It's a very American concept to "complain." You can walk into Arby's, eat a sandwich, not like it, and go and get your money back. In many other places in the world, this is simply not the case.

    Instead of "complaining," which is what my five-year-old nephew does when we change the channel from Cartoon Network to ESPN, we should express our concerns at the current status of the game.

    I have never once said you shouldn't be able to express your opinion, and will never agree with that statement.

    Absolutely not.

    You guys are kind of missing my point here. I'm not trying to say that people need to stop complaining because SE is giving you free game time, a reference I only made to stress my point. I'm not telling you to do anything. I am only asking people to be reasonable and patient. And as I said before, perhaps that is too much to ask.

    Wouldn't this also be like getting your free chips and having a dead bug in it , would it then be alright to complain?

    Oh I got another one, how about like ordering a meal expecting to pay for it and it turns out to be a pile of puke? Would it still be alright to complain? How about having to wait 9 months while they fix what I initially wanted to order?

    I don't agree with your analogy and how it relates to SE , it could made it out numerous different ways.

    My analogy is a comparison between the free service SE offers for their game (as an act of good business) and the numerous complaints and impatient whining that still ensues, even now, and the act of giving free chips and salsa (as an act of good business) and the numerous complaints and impatient whining that ensues when immediate refills are not given, or when the free items are not to someone's liking. These are both services that are offered for free. To be so rude and unreasonable about them is my express concern. Do you complain about the quality of the toothpicks in a restaurant? (That's my point.)

    It is hardly reasonable to expect things to be given to us in this world. We are not entitled to anything. The world does not revolve around us. Would complaining stop terrorism? Hardly. Would complaining cure cancer? Absolutely not. Complaining is merely our way to cope with situations that are unpleasant.

    You seem to miss my point. It's not about complaining, but the manner in which you complain. If someone finds a dead bug in their chips, and they don't complain to me, I would be a bit disturbed.

    Instead of being a part of the problem, try being a part of the solution.

    Yea but it seems you are also missing the point between giving free stuff because you are doing good business and want to give to your customers and the latter in because you damn well screwed up so bad you're doing it out of desperation.

    You are also missing the point that people went in expecting to pay for their game and don't give a crap about the chips and want the meal. Also looking at your sig it looks like you haven't been around long enough but it's been 9 friggen months people have every right to whine thank you very much although people shouldn't get to out of hand, but hey I can't blame them sometimes.

    For your information, I pre-ordered the game the day it was available for pre-order at GameStop, got it at midnight, downloaded it, and played for three hours over the next week. After such time, I convinced myself that the game was not to my liking, stopped playing, and went back to FFXI until two weeks ago. So yes, I've been here the whole time, waiting for this game to improve. While I may not have been playing the game, that is irrelevant. It's your choice to play a game. I personally didn't want to play something I didn't like. But regardless, this entire point is irrelevant, and frankly, a pretty desperate move on your part.

    Yes when they lead you on with " we will turn this game around " "We hope to bring you a quality Final Fantasy experience" while we sit there after every miniscule patch thinking some progress will be made in the right direction leading us on for let me say again 9 months This isn't some restaurant we are talking about here it's a multi million dollar company and they seem to be leading us on and people get annoyed when you lead them on.

    So Nacho Libre comes in here making a thread complaining pretty much about complainers not being reasonable really solves a lot huh? Do you wear stretchy pants for fun. Do you ever think that maybe even the people complaining about are we there yet enjoy some of the small things this game has but despises the rest.

    So i've been logged onto the game all day waiting for someone to log on in my ls :/ but no one did, this forum brings up a lot of goods points. I think another point is people on this forum need to see differing opinions as just expression and not an argument. Like less than 5% of people who talk on this forum are looking for a confrontation.

    Like others of said, terrible analogy.

    A better one would be: you bought a meal, but it tasted like shit and wasnt even what you ordered, so the restaurant decided not to charge you.

    Also, you ordered a steak, and it takes a while to cook. Please enjoy these complimentary chips while it cooks. If that doesn't suit you, you certainly are here by choice, and can make the decision to leave just as surely as you came. It's your choice.

    And no, I'm not a fan of stretchy-pants. It's the chaffing I can't deal with.
