    I have to say honestly that I don't think anything can be done for that character. The guy could buy a new ffxiv copy and make a new toon. Sucks to start fresh, but even you admit he did what he did. While it was definitely nice of him to follow orders, those orders were done to investigate (innocent people would have had to obey those orders too). And it turned out he was guilty. I don't think SE is going to start unbanning people unless they are desperate for subscriptions.

    I't shouldn't matter where you post this but tech.support seems right!

    You buddy might have to start over on a new character... or new account? (not sure, take it with a grain of salt)

    There could be corrupted data linked to you friends character and it all needs to be purged, so starting over with a new account only seems like the correct path.

    What they could do to his character is simply purge it of all gil, same as they did by dividing anyone's gil who was caught in the blanket banning by 10.. He's though about buying a new copy, but with how he's being treated, and how his account had the pre-order bonuses, as well as collector's edition bonuses, and how much time he spent on Mister Sirs, it's very very hard to. And yes, we both admitted to his hacking, we have nothing to hide about it. SE knows when he did, and how he did it. Emails went back and forth while playing off and on explaining to them step by step on how he did it. Few days after the confrontation in the screenshots, that wild random patch SE pushed out during those high traffic login queues ( ya'll know what i'm talking about ) and fixed the problem.

    Square Enix HAS been slowly unbanning those who were caught in the blanket. Why can't he be to? That was the reason he was banned in the first place, not cause of him hacking :/ Cause if that was the case, then why wasn't he banned after meeting Jhanaka?..

    Hey! A very Merry Christmas to you to!

    He's a very close friend to me. And since i know that how this is being handled isn't right, i will surly risk my account for him, and any close friend of mine. If he did hack without going through SE, i wouldn't be trying to help him get his account unbanned. Yes, hacking is wrong, but he reported it to Square Enix. All of which was done with good intentions. He never traded me mass amounts of gil, and Square Enix can go ahead and check the logs on my account. Most he ever gave me was like 300 gil to afford transportation >__<! And the money wasn't from the hacked pool, it was money he made from selling what he made from Weaver and Blacksmithing on the market.

    I don't think his character is corrupted or anything i mean, they didn't state to him anything about such things.

    We just want his account unbanned.. Why can't they just unban his account, and just purge all the gil off of it?.. We made Mrs Madam and Mister Sirs together in beta, don't want to delete them or anything.. I mean, it's our first characters :/

    A new account might be the last thing we resort to.. But as long as there might be some small hope, we will keep trying! We won't give up.. So Square Enix please.. We are dedicated, and we won't go away so long as this game exsists! It's nothing like the other MMOs out there :/ Won't loose hope!

    It isn't quite that simple when all other lines of support refuse to provide help. I have been in this position before, not with Square Enix however. The fact that they are unwilling to even talk to him about this issue does do well for how I feel about this company. From what I read it seems they have tried every "official" way of contacting the team and getting this resolved and they are unwilling to help at all. I may be wrong, but this puts at the very least the support team for this game on my bad side in terms of opinion.

    Exactly..

    Support ticket: First, his ticket gets deleted. He calls live asking about it, and they say his ticket was replied to. Puts another, then gets a reply saying thank you for your feed back, then later gets deleted. What?..

    Live chat: Is told the account is permanently banned for RMT activities, and that they can't do anything. He asks if he may talk to a superior, and gets told there are none there he can speak with. If this is true, is the support team being unwatched by higher ups to make sure everything's in tip top shape?

    Phone support: I'm not exactly sure if he has called in with more than wondering what happened to his support ticket.. Will have to ask him when he isn't busy.

    Regardless.. I'm not here to say bad things about SE or what not, just that the way Mister Sirs issue is being handled isn't very good.. He just wants a superior to contact him to see if they can work out something to unban his account. I don't want this thread deleted, i want it seen and have a chance of Mister getting a second chance! We will not give up!

    D: We just want to play together again! Don't want to resort to a new account :/

    ): Come on Square Enix! I know you can take a minute of your time to reply! Give Mister Sirs a chance! There must be some way you guys can talk to him in private about the situation and work something out!

    He isn't suppose to be banned for RMT activities, or because of the hacking! He helped you guys find a game breaking exploit and showed you guys how he did it step by step, then within a few days you guys patched it up!

    He's only banned cause he still had all that spawned money GM Jhanaka told him to keep in a retainer for investigation.. He tried to contact you guys several times to see if he could delete the retainer filled with the items and money, but never got an answer. He wouldn't be banned right now if he did delete it ): He was only following orders!

    Please Square Enix! ;.; We won't give up! We want to play together again without resorting to a new account!

    Well.. I think i would have expected this to be handled a little better than what it is. I would have never thought such a big company would be handling things like this. We expected a response.. A second chance.. A shot at a superior to have a 1v1 conversation with Mister Sirs privately to see if anything at all can be done about this ban. Not just sit here and not get a single official response or anything..

    I mean, is it that hard to ask for a second chance? How can they ignore dedicated players/ fans like this? Even after all these hard times Mister, and even me, are going through just to be able to play again.. Should that tell Square Enix something? That we actually like this game they have pushed out, and even after this problem, we still want to come back to play?

    I just don't know why they can't spare some of their time to work something out with him :/ If he gets a second chance, he sure as heck won't be tinkering around with the game anymore, and play it like a normal player.

    I wouldn't be as much to complain if Mister Sirs was banned on the spot, instead of being sweeped up in blanket bans because he was following GM Jhanaka's wishes (leaving the spawned money in a 2nd retainer, that remained untouched since he deposited the money in it).

    I know for a FACT none of the illegitimate gil was ever touched or removed from the retainer once it was put in, and know for a fact none of it was ever used before he reported it to SE, and i'm sure as heck willing to risk my account for it. We played together, so we would make one another our gear with whatever materials we bought from vendors, got from mobs, or the market.

    The most wrong Mister Sirs did was snooping in the coding, and by doing so he found a large game breaking exploit, which he reported to SE, had the Senior GM appear before us in game, emails went back and forth explaining to SE how he did it, step by step. Was he banned for it? No. He was banned cause he did exactly what the Senior GM, Jhanaka told him to do. Leave all the spawned items in the retainer and not to use any of it, and cause of it, got banned when SE pushed out the blanket bans to every server.

    So to us, what that told us once he was confronted by Jhanaka and weeks later, was that he did a good thing and wasn't punished for the hacking since it was such a large find. And with that, why can't he be unbanned? For heavens sake we just want to play together again where we left off! ;________;!

    Is this really to much to ask with his situation? Yes this as amazed, and angered us both, but we are very much pushing that aside, and trying to get him unbanned to play again! It just boggles me why we can't get a official response, or a second change :/ Not even a mod dropping in and possibly saying something like "tell Mister Sirs to submit a ticket and we will pick it up to discuss the issue" or something.

    I don't know how much more i must beg and plea to have him get a second chance :/ When every other official form of support refuses to help, this is where we turned to, with hopes we can get seen.

    Again.. Please! D:! I'm not here to bash Square Enix and tell people of what they do or don't do, or to tell you how to feel about them, or to even cancel their accounts, no, we want to be seen, and possibly given a second chance, and have his account unbanned! We want to come back :/ I refuse to play without Misters Sirs. And making a new account, when we made these together.. Are just.. Ugh..

    Big-name companies can be very pretentious when it comes to resolving customer's situations. I work for Walmart as a Customer Service Supervisor, and, for example, when a customer approaches me asking to speak with a manager about a complaint, it's our job to explain, "I am a manager," when we're ~really~ not management (not salaried, anyway). If the customer persists and I'm not able to resolve their situation, it's my responsibility to get a member of salaried management to speak with the customer. So, I can DEFINITELY tell you that what the person said regarding there being no one higher-up to speak with is completely false; as you're speculating, whomever you spoke with actually does have a boss/supervisor of their own, even if they're in a different department. You should be able to find out who manages them, even going so far as to asking who you're able to write a complaint to about the situation. If there is "currently no one available to speak with," then ask how you may get in contact with them, even if it's writing a hand-written letter, get a telephone extension and the hours they are available throughout the day. If they don't provide this information, it's highly unprofessional customer service and they're not doing their job. I would definitely complain until you get your voice heard regarding customer service such as this. I would know, since I've dealt with the customer service-aspect of Walmart a total of nearly 8 years as well as having other customer-centered jobs beyond even that. Square-Enix's reputation with the Better Business Bureau is already an F (or so I've heard) and they don't even care. What does that tell you? Pretentious. Keep doing what you're doing: record details of every conversation, such as the NAME of the people you speak with, what position they're in, what was said, times/dates/etc., as they will prove useful in the future. There was obviously an error on their part since the GM seemed appreciative, suggesting you were doing a good deed and everything would be just fine for you guys in the end.

    The way I view the situation, from a business standpoint, Square-Enix seems to not care about its customers. I applaud you for your continuous attempts to resolve the situation, and I would just continue trying. If I could get more holiday items and trade with you, I would.

He's off today, so maybe that extra time in being able to put into tickets/live/calls can have a higher spark in that little tiny light of hope in all this. Maybe.     Yes, GM Jhanaka was a nice and appreciative person. I have no complaints regarding him(her?). Just, my complaints with how the issue is being handled, how he's left in the dark and where not much is being done to help with his issue either..

    But we will keep trying, and trying, and trying, till someone with a kind heart can help us out! Heck i'll post in the Japanese forums about this if i have to... Wonder if that will up out chances.. Or possibly just get the thread, and our accounts deleted.. Sigh..
