[PS3] Game constantly crashes after patch 2.1

I'm on PS3, super slim model, and I have had a number of freezes on PS3. I have multiple members in a linkshell who also play on PS3 and they share the same issues. Issue seems to occur when teleporting or transitioning to a new area, usually a city. Although I did have one occurrence where it froze in Copperbell Mines Hard in cutscene.

I think I have a theory on what's causing the freezes as I've had 4-5 freezes just today. Booted in safemode and rebuilt the database and haven't had a problem since, but then I also haven't ran a certain dungeon since either. What instances did some of you run before the freezes?

I've been fine in instances. Ran about six today with no problems. It's when I'm doing something simple like crafting, zoning, talking to an NPC or gathering that I have problems.

Well, all my freezes occured not long after completing Crystal Tower but not after any other instances, like Copperbell (Hard) or Thornmarch. Problems are rarely instant. I think there's some mechanic to Tower that's causing the issue.

Well, same for me, randomly crashes and this game beeing still the only one having ever done so thus far .. and no comment on this issue either >_< not for liking this.

I had 3 freezes last night with-in about an hour. Like Naberrie its simple things that it freezes up on, I ran the last few DF's last night to beat the game and never had an issue but I'm crafting in a corner of a city by myself and it freezes.

Know this too .. yesterday evening, i did some Crystal Tower runs. Only crashed 1x in there - but did Crash!

Today, i tried crafting in Limsa. But i constantly Crash there!

The game has NEVER bricked my PS3 before today. Today, two bricks in two hours. I both cases the only option was a shut down from the power button.
On the second one I had to sit through a system rebuild on the PS3--that was a first.
Definitely something new going on.
First time I was teleporting out of the Bowl of Embers. Froze with .67 left on the slider. Logged back in to find the tele completed and I was in Gridania, my home point.
Second time, about 30 m inutes later, I had just unlocked Archer and killed my first Little Ladybug as part of My First Bow.. XP award was logged, then boom.
I logged out around 330pm ET, and then logged back in at 5:40pm ET. Killed a bunch of bugs and funguars to reach level 5 (yay hunting log!), then returned to Gridania to pick up the level 5 Archer quest. Entered the Blue Badger gate and took about 20 steps into the city.. Wham. Frozen. City music played for another half minute, maybe a minute, then it cut out. All I have now is birdies chirping and a bricked PS3, screen frozen in mid-stride.

This is very frequent when I play as well. It crashes out every hour or and it started happening after patch 2.1 for my ps3. I thought it was my hardware so I tried other games and this doesn't happen. I have to do a hard reset every time this happens and when I log back in to play about an hour later or so, it crashes out again.

I'm getting error 90000 a lot after 2.1 and attempting coil turn 1 it froze 2 seconds after pulling caduceus. It might just be a huge coincidence but it's really annoying either way
