I have seen over zealous GMs before in other MMOs. Legitimate players DO get caught in the crossfire of them blindly wielding the ban hammer, mostly because of wild accusations, doctored pictures and altered text chats that are taken out of context. Step back a bit and realize that you, under the right circumstances, could also be victimized by a false accusation. Wouldn't you want a thorough investigation then? Perhaps you would like the STF to jump to conclusions solely based on the evidence provided by someone else without first allowing you to explain your actions?

It is ok to be a "White Knight" and want to uphold the integrity of the game but lets not become doomsayers and crusaders. Let's at least let the STF continue their work and see what comes of it before we burn anyone or chop off their heads. Most of all, I think we all need to step back and realize that our role is simply to observe and report, not to condemn and execute. We do not wield the power to ban, no matter how rabid we become in our convictions.
You can Europe it up all you want as Nazi forces are amassing and taking over things that aren't yours.
There is a problem. They will get to you eventually, so stop standing around doing nothing.
Yes, you do know. You are sure. You just don't want to act.

Players like you all are why the STF is allowed to sit on its ass for a year and do nothing while the game turns into a legitimacy joke.

If you got up off your ass and did what's right, the STF would have stung this major threat to the game 4 months ago. Battlecrafters would be getting nice salaries from shards. There wouldn't be a hundred rank 50 carpenters botspamming everything in the economy.

You enabled all these cheaters to get their feet in the door just as much as Square Enix did. Square Enix does what you tell them to. Because you didn't tell them to do the right thing, and demand it, they didn't do it.

Now the game's a joke. Crafting is a joke. The economy is a joke. It's all because too many people generate too many assets without even being there.

It's your fault, partly. You say wait. You say hold on.

No. This should have been napalmed 4 months ago with the removal of thousands of accounts and tens of thousands of characters, with the removal of hundreds of billions of gil.

When everyone else is incompetent, I'm the only thing that's left. So I'll kill them when I see them.
