    the materia market will be inflated for a couple weeks until all those "free" materia IVs vanish and supply returns to a normal level

    I dont think so, since crafting will be destroyed by then.... everyone will have their own lvl 50 craft class and can craft themself 2 star HQ with the overfloating materia on market.

    People will still continue to farm materia, and new people getting to 50 are still getting the Materia from story and be selling em
