I think that R38 is a perfect range for Raise/Resurrect. Any lower would just encourage people to be even more careless
I guess the main question is do we really need raise?
When we are doing guildleves we are always bound to an aetherite, even when we are grinding the whole map is full of them, so when hitting return we never go too far.
This way raise is really usefull only during NM fights and even then most of the time is much better to just return.
In this scenario the current rank is fine, i've never really felt the lack of a reise skill.
I think it would be good if reraise actually existed (as it doesnt...)
But I also agree its way to high, and people are still stupid and return when theres mages around who can raise, hell even low levels I equip it on every class I do, I join behast or such and i say if you die i will raise so you dont lose SP, but they return anyway like a moron
There needs to be a raise animation with better indication such as a prompt window like XI had. so its in your face when you get raised.
I dont agree on the thm/conj only ideas as its just stupid due to the work around being: Change class, wait 1 minute. Not exactly difficult so its just more tedious nonsense.
But yes we do. I don't know about you, but when/if I die I'd love to be able to employ the "free" time while I wait for my resurrection sickness to expire by doing something constructive and convenient. Bathroom, Coffee, reading mail...
That's definitely more convenient/constructive than running back from point A to point B watching a scenario that I already explored to utter boredom.
I like XP loss penalty.
Ppl say that have to wait more than 2 min is enough punishment. In XI, you had to wait 5 min If I remember wll, plus you had XP Loss Penalty. Plus you didn't had "nodes" in the middle of your trips.
Raise at mid levels would be better, and XP Loss (with or without, I don't care, level down) is a must.

No. Thanks. The next thing you'll tell us is that XP loss makes fighting "challenging"I like XP loss penalty.

Not fighting challenging, but what If you die right now??
What is the worse that you think??
"OMG, I've to walk 5 min to the same spot!"
That's not a punishment, that's a shame. Plus as I said, in XI you had to wait 5 min, plus you had XP loss and didn't had nodes in the way.
Then, with XP loss, or some other penalty, Raise will have a reason to be. Right know, If you don't have a mage with Raise right there, is better to use Return, because it will be faster than waiting for your mage friend to Raise you.

Walking back is a timesink. Not fighting challenging, but what If you die right now??

XP loss is a timesink (you lose the time you invested gaining that XP).
There's no practical difference.
