The people you're targeting, and the people that generally get coined "White Knights" aren't deserving of that term. They're just people that you're disagreeing with, and your mind has written it so that people on the opposite side of you are ALWAYS the same people.
Just like your brain has decided that you're always on the side that's best for the game, and the "White Knights" are holding it back. It's not true, you just have different opinions on what's best for the game and both sides are too busy vilifying each other to notice that.

Except that Economics tells us that by raising the price on a sought after commodity will inflate currency and drive prices up on everything else. This is what Square was trying to avoid. They want to take currency out of the market as to deflate pricing. If the commodity is higher than other items, the other items prices will inflate due to more currency needing to be in circulation to afford said commodity.I was pretty sure I was clear, but just to make sure, my entire argument is the use of the word "White Knight." Square has created a scarcity situation where property will hold it's value for an extended period of time (think Apple products). Though this will look good in the short term, the long term however has a high chance to damage the economy. Demand and Scarcity is high while Supply and currency is low. High demand and low supply will lead players to RMT. RMT will inflate and control the market. Currency inflates to the point the denomination collapses.
Worst case scenario, but not unprecedented.

I was reading a good post on the JP side of this . The poster said what about Legacy ? Sure we can get the game for cheaper and we have some unique items. But our server is a prison . And our bodies are marked as inmates in the prison . ( legacy Chrs have a tattoo on there back ) and were being charged more for a house like trying to post bond . i laughed but he makes a great point
Im with You there...
25 years ago when I was a kid a "white knight" would be a stereotypical Hero, a symbol people would look up to... when did this vision of the white knight get derailed in such a wrong way??
But back to topic...
My hope is that either SE will reconsider housing prices, or we will be able to make A LOT more Gil through daily beast tribes and random DF

From looking at the JP responses, and in fact some of them even using Google translate or even some of their not so great English skills, it's fantastic to see the solidarity over this insane bar to enjoy content that was promised unto us as a core feature. Hell, I don't even care about the FC housing and I think its ridiculous that they expect us to pay such exorbitant in game fees. Anyways, seeing the NA and JP unite is good to know we can all agree on some things, especially insanity such as this.
I feel this link correctly sums up our current relationship with the JP, and I hope this grows further: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcIjFeWE4fE
Ya know that was kinda sad to me. Its like here we are saving Eorzea from impending doom left and right but who we should be saving is the legacy players... Its a damn jail for they over there. Plus I cant see why they have to pay way more then non legacies but we have almost the same income. They are only hurting the very people that supported them in bad times. Atleast make all severs the same price (AND LOWER) to be fair.I was reading a good post on the JP side of this . The poster said what about Legacy ? Personally I hope that those with the money to afford these prices refuse to buy. I would love to see what happens if not a single plot of land is bought. Perhaps SE will listen to us then.
No more cast bars for Bard! Thank you, Yoshi-P! All hail our lord and savior!

Kids grew up thinking its cool to defend stuff they see as right even when it is so wrong. Happens a lot in forums, mostly they think they have the moral high ground, and always right no matter what. The more ppl say otherwise, it reinforce their beliefs even more.
Kinda like a infinity circuit, with other guy comes and support, the circuit gets larger, then finally ppl get sick of the BS and leave, they declare themselves the last ppl standing in a dead game, then pushes the blame to all the ppl that left and naysayers, then leave themselves too.
That is how the term white knighting comes about on the internet. They see themselves as heroes and perhaps even dream one day a dev might pick them up and make them devs themselves.
